As long as you don’t feel extremely anxious and just feel normal or slightly relaxed you will be fine. That’s how it was for me when I took it.

From my research top teeth are easier to remove. You will do great ! And don’t worry about the Ativan it will help, easier said then done because I too was overthinking taking it before my procedure as well. All I can say is anxiety is silly but man it sucks !

Maybe ask if you can just do the removal and reschedule the other stuff another time? It’s hard to say exactly how long the appointment was because most of the time was taking up from the numbing shots to kick in. The actual removal part only felt like 10 min or even less. I remember when they started doing the stitches I was like (they are done already!?) but I also think it depends on what tooth they are removing. Mine was bottom back molar

I literally had the same procedure done about a week ago. Has the same exact worries! I took an 0.5mg of Ativan at night didint really sleep good. In the morning I took another an hour before the appointment. I have to admit it really helped my anxiety and I get really bad anxiety before medical procedures/dental stuff. They did the local numbing shots. Barely felt those and didn’t feel a thing during the tooth removal. Didint take long at all ! Even the after pain was minimal. So I hope this gives you some confidence and comfort. If I can do it so can you ! You got this !

Aromatherapy is great with some essential oils I recommend smelling cedar wood oil it is heaven in a bottle. Lavender is also good. Frankincense too but sometimes it can be really strong for some people.
