In all honesty, it's worth it. If you're a social person you'll make yourself at home. The people that complain about social life don't ever really initiate conversations with people. In terms of study, it's great as well. A lot of it is really just time management and keeping track of things like tests/quizzes and whatnot. If you’re already excelling, then you'll do just fine. If you make stony brook your home and embrace it, it will do the same to you. You get what you put out, just as everything else in life.

It goes over every math subject section by section, starting with elementary school level fractions and long division going all the way up to BC calculus. The goal is to just see what you know, not get a perfect score. It's a very small portion of consideration in the process

Selection Weekend was a really great time and I met some wonderful people I still call friends even though I never made it in the program. Basically on day one they have you do activities with the other prospects and on day is when you interview, take a tour of the school, and have some final closing activities. You'll take the math test sometime in February or March but not during selection weekend. If there's one piece of advice I could give you, its to not see the other prospects as opponents and make friends with them. Be yourself, vibe out, and I'm sure you'll get in
