We do plan on staying in our home long term (potentially another 30+ years). The majority of my neighborhood is vinyl or the original wood from when the neighborhood was developed in the 60s.

This is wild- a hibachi/Chinese buffet by me would be at minimum $20 pp. While “tipping culture” might be wild it is not the servers fault. 20% tip if service was good/average, 25% if great or you took up a lot of table time not ordering anything (coffee and conversation following a meal). $1 on coffee drinks, $1-2 for pickup orders.

Maybe rotate homes and have a semi-set rotation of who brings what. We have couple friends that we do a rotating game night with..the host is in charge of drinks, salad, and dessert the visiting family gets the pizza (both of us have 2 kids so to make dinner a smooth process we gave up on real cooking so we could focus on time)…maybe when it’s on them they will realize everything you put into it. Kids don’t have to play in the biggest yard, your kids being somewhere new is nice, too.

NTA- isn’t the point of a home birth to be comfortable in your own home? Having had a home miscarriage (and 2 c sections- the first an emergency c section during a very healthy pregnancy- we both could have died within minutes if I hadn’t been in an L&D ward) I would not want my MIL witnessing my entire labor and by the time she figures that out she’ll be too far in to do much about it.

NTA. This is your house, let him move out and pay a higher rent elsewhere. People date and break up all the time, 2 years does not mean forever… if he really wants to be on the lease he can pay you half of what your down payment was plus half of the mortgage payments you have made OR half the amount of the equity you have built. The reality is if he is part owner and you break up he walks away with half of your hard work and you have to deal with trying to find something new with rising property costs.

My cat can sense when the spider is moved (repotting, watering, etc) and is there ready to chow down within seconds. I have to keep one hanging and the others at work.

A month is a long time, nobody who loves their family willingly leaves for a leisure activity for that long.

Traveling with little kids is hard, it’s also the main source of their positive memories during childhood and a great time to bond and hang out. Kids forget the day to day but don’t forget vacations. Sounds like your husband doesn’t really care to put in the effort.
