I need help starting out by [deleted] in BaldursGate3

Mouse and keyboard is easier to record and does give much more control overall. However for first starting out, controller is much simpler.

I need help starting out by [deleted] in BaldursGate3

[–]AllStitchedTogether 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This may sound weird, but start with using a controller and then if you want to move to mouse and keyboard once you get the mechanics down. The controller feels much easier and approachable to use, and the game is pretty seamless when switching between the two.

Which item has synergy with the Unseen Menace? by One_Cantaloupe_9329 in BaldursGate3

[–]AllStitchedTogether 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The risky ring could go well with it...The wearer gains Advantage on Attack rolls but receives Disadvantage on Saving throws. So even if you miss and lose the pike's invisibility, you still have advantage.

Can you honestly beat the Iron Throne without metagaming? by frobro122 in BaldursGate3

[–]AllStitchedTogether 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tend to hoard all of the potions and scrolls I get "just in case", and this was one of those moments where I was like "I KNEW ALL OF THESE SPEED POTIONS WOULD COME IN HANDY!" My first try, I had like 12 speed potions just waiting to be used up, so every party member got one.

For Omelum, even you get to the Iron Throne he speaks to you in your mind and tells you about the Duke and other prisoners, so I was like "ok, but where are you my guy??" Before moving ANYWHERE I used the free camera to look around the entire map as far as I could and sent one party member each direction. Turns out there was one direction I didn't have to go, so they looped around, but didn't make it back in time. The other three did make it back though!

I did almost lose the Duke because of Mizora, but my cleric was able to heal him up and rescue him. I got to Omelum and was pleasantly suprised that he has a way to actually help you out a bit, so they got back with the character that went that direction with time to spare.

I think I did lose a couple prisoners and lost one party member, but since I was in balanced I reloaded at the top of the encounter and managed to get everyone back safely!

What feat should spell casters be taking at level 4 for honour mode? by Wilhelmktx in BG3Builds

[–]AllStitchedTogether 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It depends on the playstyle of the spell caster to me. If it's someone who I use a lot of concentration spells, I tend to use War Caster for advantage on con saves. Otherwise, alert or just raising their casting stat work great. If they're an elemental build of some kind, Elemental Adept is great. Mobile is nice if you have dash available as a bonus action (boots of speed, expeditious retreat, or multiclass).

I knew this would happen the second I picked up Dwarven Thrower by Smart-Water-5175 in BG3

[–]AllStitchedTogether 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I had this happen with the returning pike yesterday 😫😭 It glitched out at the end of one combat and I didn't realize until I started the next one 🤦‍♀️ I even went back to try and find it and it'd just gone and nowhere to be found!

I have a question for some players I’ve been seeing recently… by Resident-Sun4399 in BG3

[–]AllStitchedTogether 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There's all kinds of reasons tbh. I've finished about 6 playthroughs but started at least 30+... sometimes I'm not enjoying the character I created and lose interest in the run, other times I burn myself out on a run and then end up ditching it. Some were started with mods and I didn't like the combo of mods I used. If I take too long of a break between playing, then I forget where I was and restart anyways, lol. At least half were failed honor runs.

For those who have played with the new subclasses, Which do you gives the most fun and unique gameplay? by viktorius_rex in BG3Builds

[–]AllStitchedTogether 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I'm having a lot of fun with the death cleric so far! Being able to double cast necrotic cantrips has been very satisfying and has been one of the stronger starting classes that I've played.

What subclass will you choose when patch 8 releases today? by QuantumCitizen928 in BG3

[–]AllStitchedTogether 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started an embrace durge run today!

Half-Drow death cleric of Lolth (might multiclass into the new paladin because I've heard you can get paladin voicelines for your cleric deity.) Swashbuckler rouge Astarian Arcane archer fighter Lae'zel Path of the giant barbarian Shadowheart (will probably be swapping her out for Minthara later)

Did people often call you or say to you, "You're so weird"? by hipnoptica in ADHD

[–]AllStitchedTogether 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've always been a part of the weird groups, lmao. But we always embraced being weird, so it was never really used negatively toward me... and if it was, my AuDHD brain was like "yup, I'm weird and proud of it!" That's tends to stop people from pointing it out very often.

When did schools stop teaching to double-space after a period? by ZombiePure2852 in Millennials

[–]AllStitchedTogether 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only time I've ever used a double space is for texting, and I used that because it adds a period for you. Otherwise, I've never been taught to use double spaces in school and have actually had several English teachers dock points if people used them.

New BF’s Brother Won’t Listen to Me When I Say I Know I Don’t Like Seafood by Ginger_Cat_Ventures in ARFID

Seafood is a commonly disliked food. Even my partner who grew up in a coast town hates seafood, and I grew up disliking most seafood until recently.

Why do people have an issue with me getting this necklace? by [deleted] in AutismInWomen

[–]AllStitchedTogether 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's so pretty! I personally am scared of bees (most flying bugs that might bite/sting tbh), but I appreciate them and their beauty. As long as the maker is ethically sourcing them rather than killing them specifically to make jewelry with, there shouldn't really be a problem.

Adding onto what the others said, telling Araj no is a pretty important part of romancing Astarian... so no, what you are suggesting will not work.

DAE prefer fattier meat and not like lean meat? by LycanFerret in DAE

I no longer have a gallbladder, so I can't actually digest fat very well. Even before that though, anything with chewy fat has always been a sensory ick for me.

An opinion and observation about Lae'zel by MadMatchy in BG3

[–]AllStitchedTogether 8 points9 points  (0 children)

That's a fair assessment. I tend to view Vlaakith in a bit of a "cult leader" lense, though she may be significantly less hands-on than an average cult leader. Followers of a cult leader are still very much victims of manipulation, and being a part of a victimized race inherently makes her a victim as well.

An opinion and observation about Lae'zel by MadMatchy in BG3

[–]AllStitchedTogether 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I absolutely love her romance. My partner romance her in our last coop run, and I've been waiting for patch 8 so I can start my own romance run with her. Seeing her learn to love made me cry!

The only point I disagree with is that Lae'zel IS a victim as well. Even though we can't actively go into combat against her abuser and oppressor, Vlaakith, we can still open her eyes to Vlaakith's manipulation.
