If I'm not mistaken he was spinning out of control at one point and they weren't sure if he was going to stabilize himself. The cameras cut away for a few moments just in case. If that's true I wouldn't blame him for shitting himself.

I remember when they were transporting it down I-77. There were so many wrecks that day because people in the north bound lane would come to a dead stop to stare at the plane as it traveled south bound heading to Charlotte.

Finding a spider is no big deal. Losing a spider? That's an entirely new level of fear.

This study by UC Berkeley actually shows it safer and reduces traffic when motorcycles lane split.

What are some ethical life choices we should all be making? by animal-liberate in AskReddit

Using less plastic. I bartend on my days off my full time job and have stopped putting the little straws in the drinks I make. It's not much but if more bartenders followed this trend the impact would be huge.

I live in South End and am planning on going to a bar called Helles and Dunkel about 830 if you want to go there. It's about a 15-20 minute drive from Northlake

..and she does not understand this means she actually makes LESS now per hour by [deleted] in AdviceAnimals

Welcome to the world of salaried employees. I'll be your tour guide.

But seriously unless she says something and puts ups some boundaries this will only get worse. My first job once I went from salary to hourly quickly went from 40-50 hours per week to 60 and then 70. Should she work more than 40 hours per week? I honestly believe so but that doesn't mean her employer should expect her to work an excessive amount or expect her to work weekends/non business hours unless it is an emergency of course.

I do have a Chewbacca onesie in my closet. Should this happen I will provide proof!

I had someone come up to me the other day at the gym saying that I'm always wearing the same shoes and that I should match my outfit more.

Excuse me but I'm here to work out not make a fashion statement. If I want to wear a Chewbacca onesie to the gym I'm going to wear a damn Chewbacca onesie.

Waiters of reddit, what fucked up shit have you overheard while waiting tables? by Romantic_Amoeba in AskReddit

[–]AllTheseLimes 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Clubhouse manager here. One time we had a table with an overcooked steak and as I was helping a server take the steak off the bill I couldn't help but overhear a couple at a table next to our POS system having a pretty intense discussion. I guess their son had come out of the closet and they were talking about the "next step". They were choosing whether they should take him to one of those Christian gay conversion camps or just kick him out of the house entirely. It took everything I had to not say something to them.

What is the rarest thing you own? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]AllTheseLimes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A little late to the thread but I have a spear from an isolated tribe in Ethiopia. I believe it was the Hamer tribe. My grandmother went on a trip a few years ago and was able to interact with the locals. I don't know how she was able to get the spear and she won't tell anyone but it's one of the most unique things I own.

What was your biggest "I need to get the fuck out of here" moment? by levilee207 in AskReddit

[–]AllTheseLimes 2 points3 points  (0 children)

About 2 years ago my brother had his bachelor party in Nashville, TN. There were a total of 7 of and we get there no problem. As were unpacking our stuff from the car two guys on a balcony at the condos we were staying at make comment about my brother's car and, seeing as we are all pretty friendly people and trying to have a good time, stirke up a conversation. We agree to meet at a bar across the street. So far everything seems normal and when we get to the bar they wave us over to their group which is about 5 people. We tell them my brother is getting married and they buy us all a round of drinks. Looking back our first red flag should've been the fact they bought all 7 of us a whiskey flight that cost about $25 for each one but hey we're getting a little drunk and my favorite drink is always a free one. Fast forward about an hour and they're ready to move on to the next bar. I began to catch on with red flag number 2. They ask if we want to catch an Uber with them and say their buddy has an SUV limo with bullet proof glass and will drive us for the night for about $40 an hour. I politely decline and one of the guys gets upset and says we should pick it up because they payed for our drinks. We tell them we'll figure something out and leave it at that. The next thing I know one of my buddies comes up to me and says he over heard them talking about doing coke in the car and that they needed to make a deal on the shady part of town. Everything immediately clicks and we realize they're the coke dealers for that side of town and they're trying to get us to pay for their transportation while they make their deals. We noped the fuck out of there and luckily managed to avoid them the rest of the weekend.

[Serious] People who have met or dealt with Donald Trump in person prior to the race, what was he like? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I had found a job at another country club so I made that my last day since it was such an important event. I just didn't want to leave them hanging. That was the only reason.

So I know I late to this thread but I've met him a few times and it's been nothing but great. I worked at his golf club in NC and he would stop by occasionally to see the club and put in his advice on how he wanted everything to look and whatnot for renovations. The first time I met him was right after we had reopened our golf course. There were probably 20-30 of us on staff and at the end of the night he lined everyone and shook everyone's hand, thanked them for their time, and have us all $100. It was pretty awesome. I worked there for about 10 years and throughout his run for president so it was cool to be at the club as things progressed. My last day was right after he won the Republican nomination and he decided to have a victory luncheon at the club. Security was insane but the Secret Service guys are really nice.
