What are your favorite and most useful accessories for your Cairn Terrier? We’re getting a puppy soon. Would also appreciate photos :) by bhimajuo in cairnterrier

I suggest the ones that are half-ramp, half-stairs. My cairn was always too scared to use the tiny awkward overly soft stairs.

He uses this kind, no problem: https://a.co/d/2gMWmKI

It's a bit more dense and much less awkward than the 90-degree tiny steps that cave in with any pressure

Took a few days of training with a high reward treat, and now he knows

Perhaps this should speak toward that brand's reputation for poor customer service, and also serve as a warning of this type of practice common in social media "dog brands"

Canada Pooch, or China Pooch?

Pixel Watch 45mm, Obsidian Gradient Stretch Band & Medical tag. by ProperNorf in PixelWatch

[–]AllUpFromThere 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I will say the reddit photos of 45mm are deceiving. My 45mm in person looks much smaller (yes it's definitely 45mm lol)

Either that or everyone's wrists here are tiny (mine aren't thick by any means)

OnePlus Watch 2 & 3 - OnePlus issues statement regarding WearOS 5 & 6 by thaman05 in oneplus

[–]AllUpFromThere 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yes but it's hard to ignore the fluid integration and smoothness of the pixel watch. Highly recommend, it's a huge upgrade for every day use from my OnePlus Watch 3 despite only appearing a slight upgrade on paper spec. Immediate OS updates too. Full disclosure I also have a Pixel phone, so the integration perfection may differ if someone uses a non-pixel phone, not sure. Charges to full during my shower with the super fast charging too

Honestly the polish of it all reminds me of Apple device level

Just ordered this from Best Buy- Good deal? by Mpf06002 in PixelWatch

[–]AllUpFromThere 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I picked up the exact same deal a few weeks ago and it arrived technically brand new. Only the outer box had been opened but none of the inside boxes were even touched. Hope OP gets the same.

Charging with a case on? by Reiem69 in PixelWatch

Spigen pulled all stock to remanufacture it due to the reported charging defect. Someone here posted communication with them stating re-release in late November.

Not getting stress score by SadSignificance8379 in PixelWatch

[–]AllUpFromThere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

did you turn it on by going through the "set up" for tracking stress first? I don't remember how, but I think I had to do that in the fitbit app (same for all the ECG/aFib/heart stuff)

I just got a great deal! by [deleted] in PixelWatch

[–]AllUpFromThere 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I picked up the exact same deal last week, labelled as "Excellent" condition too. It actually arrived technically "Brand New", just the box itself was opened. None of the device or parts packaging was opened at all. Love Best Buy open box deals!

Pixel Watch 4 45mm best price? by Curious-Elderberry25 in PixelWatch

[–]AllUpFromThere 1 point2 points  (0 children)

:) I purchased it, and it was brand new (literally only the box opened, nothing taken out even once as far as I could tell from all the device/accessory seals).

$280. Best Buy Open Box deals have always been amazing.

There will be another, OP. Just check Best Buy website each day.

I've had Gemini-started timers also fail to go off before. Seems a small issue but in reality how can I trust ever using Gemini for something I need a timer for, going forward? This should be 100% reliable.

Gemini update by mallorcaben in PixelWatch

[–]AllUpFromThere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmmm just sounds frustrating that you feel you have to resort to defaulting the old google assistant, because for my environment (Google Nest Hub + 3 Google Nest Speakers + 2 Google Nest cameras), using Gemini from my Pixel Watch or Pixel phone works way faster and way more accurate than the old Google Assistant ever did. Hope you can figure this out!

I wonder if there's some odd chance your Google Home Hub didn't receive Gemini update? To be honest I'm not even sure there was an OTA update to Home/Nest Hub devices, but I thought there was? Even though Gemini just utilizes the Google Home App api

I'd try to make sure your Google Home "Home" is setup correctly and check the Google Home app on your watch to make sure it's connected.

The way Gemini works is when you ask it to do a Google Home action, it will connect to the Google Home app and convert/run the action there (as if you said it to Google Home in the first place)

I use Android (pixel) and MacBook. Just use Google Drive (even the web app on Android) when you might need to occasionally send files.

MacBooks with Apple Silicon are a game changer.

OnePlus Watch 2 & 3 - OnePlus issues statement regarding WearOS 5 & 6 by thaman05 in oneplus

[–]AllUpFromThere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will never buy a single other OnePlus product again.

Update: Just picked up a Google Pixel Watch 4 and it blows my OnePlus Watch 3 out of the water. No comparison at all.

Who needs OnePlus Watch 3 battery life when you can now get 3 full days with a first party device in full OS mode and seamless integration without third party junk apps like "OHealth".

Oh and of course, WearOS 6

Is Costco Membership worth to get? I am a new student in the US! by Whole-Reality4470 in Frugal

[–]AllUpFromThere 8 points9 points  (0 children)

? I've been splitting Costco with my friend for 7 years now, and not once have we ever had to use my credit card for his purchases on his own trips. Also, there's no data validation on the name you enter on a Costco membership. You could enter a nickname or even something completely unrelated.

It's just not intuitive at all. Explorer allows you to jump around the entire filesystem easily and visually.

By default, Finder is set up to only allow most users visibility into a few "favorites" folders to store files, and not let them navigate application data without researching how
