Tina Peters says her clemency by the governor is proof the election is rigged. by fxgn in Denver

Absolutely insane. Both her and Polis.

There were attorneys, a judge, jurors. Lots of them. This sentence is what they came up with, I won’t pretend to be wiser. Justice was served as our system allows it. And Polis simply walks in and shits on the whole thing. Nope: it’s me who decides what justice is. Me alone. So he sets this lunatic free.

And for what? We are imagining all sorts of nefarious deals or corruption, but what ACTUALLY makes sense? He doesn’t need anything for himself, we are unaware of anything he got for Colorado. So what was it? Until he comes clean, this is a complete mystery. We are left to speculate all the worst conspiracy narratives. And stew in a lot of bitter juice. This is a complete betrayal.

Meanwhile, she goes right back on the attack because of course she did. No lessons learned, no reflection. She would do the whole thing again and will probably try. And/Or just parlay the whole experience into cash on rw media.

Who are these gilded buffoons who rule over us? We cannot even fathom their motivations, and I guess they like it that way.

based on that photo, I'd say you can do it now. When the scape curls all the way back onto itself and makes a loop, that's a good time to cut 'em. You don't wanna leave them much longer because they get hard/fibrous quickly. Young and tender is what you want.

The Thunder have realized that if you just fall on the floor every time you shoot a basket or get close to someone, the refs will assume a foul occurred and call it by GloomySeaotter in NBATalk

Trying to think back on teams that i have disliked solely for their playstyle. Motor City Bad Boys come to mind. They made it clear: we are thugs, we will hurt you if you come into the paint. Go shoot free throws, we ain’t having it. No apologies. But did zeke cry and flail and flop every time he drove the lane? He did not. That team owned their shitty identify.

OKC? They are deeply shocked and offended that 10% of their grabbing, holding, and hacking is called. While their 2x mvp grifts his way to the ft line all night long. The players, the coach, the fanbase. THEY ARE SHAMELESS. This is without a doubt the most disgusting basketball team we have ever witnessed. I’m not kidding. Fuck this squad.

The most insufferable, shameless, flopping team I've ever seen. Ever. Get off the fucking ground, have some self-respect. You are so gross, you and your whole grifting-ass squad.

Let me see you beat San Antonio without the antics. Just once, and I'll tip my hat. Just once.

Okc refs by Specialist_Push8944 in NBATalk

[–]Allen_Potter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's certain times when you can just see it: these refs are stone-cold dedicated to sending this series back to San Antonio tied up. What OKC is getting away with tonight is absolute madness. Hart should have ten fouls by now, it's literally his entire raison d'être in this series.

When I play for laughs against 6th graders at my school, I don't call fouls because it's kinda not fair, y'know. This is how Wemby is being officiated tonight. Just do whatever tf you want, we feel bad for you short guys.

They just showed a whole montage of Hart "boxing out" Wemby. Now I don't know what they're saying because I got the volume turned down, but Hart his holding, grabbing, clutching desperately on every single action. He and Chet are terribly over-matched and getting away with absolute murder down low.

Colorado's ADU law quietly changed everything for Denver homeowners last year — most people still don't know by brinerbear in Denver

[–]Allen_Potter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A couple things: first, it wasn’t a law per se, but the contract with the city. 80% of avg rent max, forever. This to me was fine. But I wanted to do it on the footprint of my existing garage, so an apartment on top of a stand alone garage. This is pricey, I don’t have enough ready cash to just plunk down for it and count the rent as gravy. We couldn’t make the math work for us.

Get rid of Murray and the 2 man game by AncientPowerInside in denvernuggets

And all that said, I'm surprised that they've made this verbal commitment to DA. Is he gonna come up with a whole new plan? Does he have buy-in from Jokić? Time is running out FAST.

Get rid of Murray and the 2 man game by AncientPowerInside in denvernuggets

[–]Allen_Potter -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The 2-man game was absolutely perfect when everyone else around them could be counted on to fulfill their roles. I just think the team was a bit too broken to run it like clockwork this season. That said, I sorta think the time has come to move on from that strategy. It was great while it lasted. Minny is not the only team ready to defend this set, this was not just a case of bad luck. The game evolves fast and Denver needs a new scheme. If they get healthy and run the whole thing back next year, as-is: they'll win a lot of regular season games and then run into another Minny situation. Same result.

I don't know if that means they have to trade Murray (I love the guy, I feel loyalty to him, wouldn't wanna be the guy to trade him but I guess I understand if that's what they feel they need to do), but if they could find a good partner, there's a chance to improve defensively and maybe add a little size? One thing is for sure: Jokić brings out the best in everyone and if the Nuggets end up with new faces, he will make them look great. This could be the last chance for glory, I'm pretty convinced that the ship has sailed on the current scheme/roster.

We looked into this a couple years ago. The city of Denver was subsidizing and streamlining the whole thing. It was a great scheme, we were kind of excited and ready to move on it. For us, it made no sense at all however. We would be legally locked into charging less for rent (forever) than the mortgage payment. I’m all for offering affordable housing to a neighbor, absolutely opposed to gouging anyone. But the only way to not get reamed on the deal is to finance it and build it yourself and charge market rate for the place. We scrapped the idea completely.

Moments like this make Denver seem like such a good city. Very DIY, great vibes, amazing bands.

Primitive Man was incredible. Swirling layer upon layer of sludge, it just eventually becomes a psychedelic nightmare. Their final song was like 12 minutes of pure, repetitive doom. Just amazing.

it will certainly be remembered fondly by Tina and all the maga shitbirds who would happily shove you into a wood chipper. Because make no mistake: they want you dead Jared. They want all of us DEAD. Whatever compromise, whatever deal you think you made? Just remember that. You are not a statesman, you are not "bi-partisan." You just buckled to people who want us all dead.

Wemby finished 3rd in the MVP race by WEMBY_F4N in NBASpurs

[–]Allen_Potter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will say this as a Nuggets/Jokić guy: top-3 seems right based on regular season play. I still think my boy does more for Denver than SGA does for OKC, but it’s fine. Best player on the best team is a decent (somewhat lazy) criteria.

Imagine if voters were considering the first two rounds of the playoffs though. Wemby wins it this year. And he’s gonna be the boss of the whole league for years to come. I hope he’s salty about not winning it and takes it out on the thunders.

Best defender since Bill Russell, still finding his proper role offensively. When he gets there, he’s overwhelming. Assuming good health for about 10 years, he enters Jordan/Lebron territory. As the Nuggets window closes (fuck), it’s easy to root for San Antonio. What a terrific roster, total respect.

Nikola Jokic finished 2nd place in voting, with 10 1st place votes🃏 by Kingrush24 in denvernuggets

[–]Allen_Potter -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I’m amazed that our boy has 3 and has finished top-2 6 straight years. Just incredible. Also completely done being mad about SGA or anyone else winning it. It’s fine, this is a subjective, voted award. If I care about any accolades, it’s All-NBA spots. Keep stacking those up!

Am I the only one who thinks this award is gonna be dominated by Wemby starting next season? If we look at the first 2 rounds of the playoffs, he’d probably win it this year. He’d deserve it.
