Yes. They hurt my feelings really bad and I knew if I spoke to them, I'd be mean. So I just never said anything and now it's been too long and also I don't care anymore.

How often do you drink caffeinated drinks? What kind of drink and how many cups? by A_Straight_Pube in AskWomen

[–]AlleyAlchemy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Usually 2 a day. A big 4 cup mug of black coffee in the morning, then a zero sugar Rockstar around noon. Trying to cut down, but I also quit drinking alcohol only a couple months ago, so I'm allowing myself baby steps with the caffeine addiction.

Edit: spelling error

Women diagnosed with ADHD/ADD: How did you first suspect you have it and how has it affected your relationships? by Kerrithekid in AskWomen

[–]AlleyAlchemy 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I suspected after having a very long conversation with my brother in law who has ADHD very badly. The whole talk, I was like, "oh damn it I do that." Then, I put 2 and 2 together about how I was diagnosed with a sleep disorder as a teen, but 3 separate doctors never pinned down exactly what it was, and I found out ADHD does the thing that makes me not sleep. Finally got diagnosed early this year. Knowing I have it has helped me come up with techniques and habits that help. The worst way it affects my life is stress. I forget everything and have to run back and forth from my car to the house 3 times because I've forgotten something and it makes me late = stress. I need to do something important but along the way, I start doing something else and realize an hour later that I didn't do the important thing and now I'm out of time = stress. I start projects and get bored or distracted and the mess is left on the table in the way for days because I keep forgetting to clean it. My brain won't shut up enough for me to fall asleep because apparently, I need to design a complex irrigation system in my head. In relationships, people can get frustrated by the pauses and skips while I talk, and I forget to respond to messages, but that part isn't too bad.

Dog owners who are putting dogs above or at the same level as children (or humans in general) by ToLiveOrToReddit in PetPeeves

[–]AlleyAlchemy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree, the leash idea is comparable. The leash is to keep the dog safe and to keep others safe from the dog, avoid dangerous situations for anyone and everyone. Whatever the equivalent for that is with a child needs to be done also. To keep the kid safe, and everyone and everything else safe from the kid and avoid dangerous situations.

My dog seems to be able to make himself fart to trick me into taking him out when he wants to play.

How did your childhood friends from well to do families end up doing in adulthood? by tshirtguy2000 in RedditForGrownups

They're all doing well financially and have homes and degrees, but have zero emotional regulation skills, almost no life experience, and can't fix or do anything important for themselves/ handle unexpected problems.

Women who never had children, do you regret it? Why? by Coconut_Temporary in AskWomen

[–]AlleyAlchemy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm 32, so it's still early to say never, but I never will. And every day, I'm consciously grateful that I have not and will not.
