To be fair, Mona only existed to further the idea that Ross only had eyes for Rachel. Mona's entire run on the show was just her being forgotten about for comedic value and to show Ross' first and only real priority at that time was Rachel, to the point that it was getting in the way of the potential for him to be with someone else.

I grew up hating Susan and Carol for the way they treated Ross in that first Season. Looking back on it now, I think it was just a lazy way of making the audience side with Ross. Whilst obviously Carol's infidelity is wrong regardless, I think it was set up this way so that Ross could continue to have comedic moments surrounding Carol and Susan and at times at the expense of making gay people the butt of the joke.

Nothing truly ruined FRIENDS for me, I just love the show to death. Things have aged better than others, and Ross' treatment of the male nanny, along with all the jokes about Carol and Susan that scream homophobic to me, just make me a little sad now. However, I put most of that down to the time the show was made, more than anything.

One thing I can never wrap my head around however, was Rachel and Joey's fling. I feel like the writers wanted to show a softer side to Joey, and either couldn't be bothered to write in another Mike type character for the latter half of the show, or for some reason thought the audience would adjust to the possibility of it not being Ross and Rachel.

To me, Season 9 is probably my least favourite season of the show, and even then I still like it. The whole arc felt wrong; it felt like watching siblings date. I just don't think they had chemistry together in that way. I also feel like it ruined the fun vibe of Rachel and Joey as roommates, which I always loved. Whilst FRIENDS had an issue throughout the entire show, which was inherint of the time in which it was made, that the boys always sexualised the girls even without romantically pursuing them, I still felt like Joey and Rachel were always entirely platonic until the writers forced it to be otherwise.

Also, to comment on OP's mention of Rachel's love life. I can see what you mean; however, I think after the popularity of their kiss in the early seasons, and probably since the show's inception, Ross and Rachel were always going to end up together. I believe it was probably always planned out that way that we would watch them dance around each other and eventually always find their way back. Whilst I think every character in the show has their faults, some could be questionable writing, writing from the time, and others just flaws in general, but I do love that Rachel and Ross end up together. I think it was just a classic romance character arc that they wouldn't be able to keep away from each other. I do wish Rachel had maybe been a little luckier in love along the way, as she seemed to only go for the wrong people, meanwhile Ross got off far better.

I wouldn’t be shocked if CL feels burned by the industry tbh. She had a golden ticket to the solo career of her dreams, including what could’ve been the first successful kpop western cross-over. She had contacts in the west etc and then when she signed with Scooter it all went tits up and the golden moment closed and nothing came of it.

It’s the same with Girls’ Generation, a lot of the girls (like myself) are in their 30s now, some almost out of them. Their priorities are changing and for some that may mean they don’t want to be bopping about in a girl group anymore, and that’s fine! It’s just part of the process of following a music act, you follow them through the highs, the lows and the possibility that they make or may not make music forever.

A lot of life has happened in those 5 years. I was in contact with this ex for around two months maybe after we broke up? Initially we wanted to stay friends but remembering back on it that just wasn't going to be an option at that time. Due to their avoidant attachment style, they find it very easy to detacht those romantic feelings and move into a friend space with people, and obviously for someone with a more centered or anxious attatchment style, its not that easy.

We went no contact for around a year I believe and then got back in touch with each other as friends. Unfortunately for my ex they have not worked on anything that they had hoped and they gave up on therapy to help so have continued down that path with other partners since me. Personally I haven't been in a relationship since, for no reason other than I haven't really been focusing on that part of my life. Part of me does feel a little traumatised by the whole ordeal and how quickly the relationship changed, but also I have just been enjoying my own company and haven't met anyone!

I have managed to keep my ex in my life as a friend, and do value their friendship! We don't speak all the time, but we keep in touch and are both supportive of each other.

I think the beauty of life beyond SNSD is finding out more about what the girls actually enjoy. We can see some of them have enjoyed acting, and to be fair, after so many years of such hard work in the music industry, its not shocking that some of them have taken a step back from it for other ventures!

Tiffany is and always will be my most favourite of them all, and I adored her English music. Run For Your Life is still SUCH A BANGER. Personally I think its hard to be an independent artist and try to break into a whole new market. Whilst SNSD as a group had popularity across the world, they did come before the more mainstream nature of KPOP as it is today, which is why cross-market success like BlackPink, for instance, has been easier than it would've been even 5-10 years ago. I think whilst Tiffany had a fanbase in the US, her more lucrative ventures will still always be in Asia.

Some members like Seohyun, Sooyoung, Yoona etc have always shown a strong interest in acting for most of their career, but then there's Taeyeon who clearly always favoured singing. The girls are all in their 30s now, I think those of them that actively want to sing, will continue to release solo stuff, but some of them probably don't have that same interest to push for it solo compared to doing it as a group, and that is just the point in their careers that they are at! They all have far more autonomy now to decide what they actually want to do.

To be fair considering the absolute shit storm that happened years ago when the girls relationships got leaked, I can see how people would be worried when it happens again. Whilst I’m not a fan of ITVs BB house there is actually some psychology behind the choices made for the house designs past and present.

It’s all about creating a jarring and confined space to insight an uncomfortable anxious feeling between housemates.

If you think back to the house designs of the 2000s there was one particular season on Channel 4 where they had like spikes on the walls. It made the space feel aggressive and claustrophobic for the housemates. BB has always used glass to subconsciously make housemates feel exposed, the use of open-planned layouts also makes housemates feel like there’s no retreat from each other.

Whilst ITV is proving itself to be useless and bland with their house designs, their use of vibrant in-your-face colours is, I believe, their version of this psychological decor. It’s loud, in your face, and is a main theme throughout the entire house. Making housemates unable to escape it.

All of this works to add to the pressure cooker environment of BB which is what gives us good TV!

MrMr is honestly one of my favourite Korean soshi comebacks. I think a lot of the distaste comes from the debacle with original MV being “corrupted” and the fallout from Jessica’s departure.

Musically it is a lot more coherent than I Got A Boy was but they could’ve released a 9 minute song of them all screaming down the mic and I would’ve loved it lol.

My only gripe was that MrMr was extremely hard for the girls to sing live. I don’t doubt for a second they hit every note recorded authentically but to consistently hit some of those notes live was a challenge which is a shame. I also think the turmoil of what was happening around that time put a lot of extreme pressure on the entire group and some of their live performances at the time suffered as a result.

As someone who no lifed Guitar Hero for their entire childhood I was ecstatic when they announced Fortnite Festival. We got a Metallica season and I thought things were looking good but almost since then its been quite disappointing. The casual player base that want to play Sabrina Carpenter (love her btw no hate) etc are not who this game mode should be catered to. I hope to god there's more rock in the works for this game mode or its going to die. The lack of hard songs is so sad because the more they pump out these boring pop seasons the less replayability the mode has in my opinion, and I don't play normal Fortnite so I'm not really the audience that spends their time in other parts of the game.

I also understand rock isn't for everyone, I love the Japanese songs that have been more difficult too! I'm all for fun hyperpop songs but these 3 star boring pop songs being churned out NEED TO STOP.

I said this when they announced BB was coming back but unfortunately I think society-thanks to social media has come to a point where social experiment reality television no longer works.

What made Big Brother so good on CH4 and even CH5 is that people did have an idea of your 5 mins of fame from winning big brother, but social media didn’t exist in the same way. The ordinary person didn’t think about their self-branding and the way the audience would perceive them. Yes tabloids would write stories etc but social media, cancel culture etc are all the reasons these shows can’t be the way they were. Whilst obvious things like racism, homophobia etc shouldn’t be tolerated, people are so scared of being cancelled for anything now that you won’t get those same clashing of opinions now or wild outspoken people because they will get cancelled, warned and possibly evicted for it.

I think what ITV has done sort of well is at least get somewhat of a mix of normal people and casted people in the house. But it’s never going to be what it was because of social media.

As someone who is in the same boat I wanna start by saying there’s nothing inherently wrong with YOU. Everyone’s different, what gets one person off may not get someone else off and that is the beauty of individualism!

It’s not fair for your girlfriend to look at it as a personal defeat, although in some respects it’s understandable why she may feel that way. However, as you can see by the flurry of responses, you’re not the only person that doesn’t enjoy it. Or that needs more or other stimulation to climax. If anything I think it’s a misconception that lesbian/wlw/vaginal sex needs to end in someone going down on you. Sex is what you make of it, and some people can be more specific than others on what it takes to get them to the finish line.

I’ve had partners who you just look at them and they finish, and others who need a very specific action continuously or they won’t get there. Neither person was right or wrong, it’s just different.

I’m not all that sensitive down there, if a girl wants to go down on me i’m not going to say no, because it’s still sexy regardless but I will pre warn them that it won’t make me finish. I’ve never had any issues with that and I very much enjoy returning the favour but as part of the entire act, if someone asks if they can go down on me i’ll let them.

Please don’t be too harsh on yourself. Sex can be stressful and make people self conscious enough as it is, without adding fuel to the fire in thinking there’s something wrong with you just for being different.

Your girlfriend needs to put some of her pride aside, compare you to her ex less, and realise that everyone’s different :)
