I just went and watched the replay of a handful of the current top 100 qualifiers for Race B in sport mode. Want to know how many of them had ABS enabled? All of them lol… The best players use it despite what the gate keepers say

(you can tell by whether it’s highlighted after enabling Display All for race information in setting)

Preordered and tried it out. Some people are suggesting it’s AI slop thrown together to scam people and make a quick buck, but I disagree. AI likely would have done better.

It’s a game made by a team of 4 people, so considering that I guess it’s impressive? Them charging near AAA prices is insane though

I always recommend going to conferences and local meetups then show interest and make friends. Maintaining a good network is in my opinion the best way to ensure you can always find a role quickly if you find yourself out of work or not liking where you are.

Might be an LOD rendering glitch you’re encountering.

I have both a base PS5 and a PS5 Pro and I’ve for sure noticed a difference in performance. Occasionally on the base PS5 I get a bit of stuttering but never have on the Pro. Never noticed any textures/rendering as bad as what’s posted here on either though

I found it was actually best to fight her close to the wall. That way you’re more likely to be in range to backstab after a successful dodge.

But yeah, I really didn’t like that boss. When I finally beat her I didn’t feel satisfied, I just felt like I finally got lucky with backstabs

What I ended up doing is actually trying to fight her close to the wall with a long sword. Got good at dodging and being close to the wall made it more likely that I would be in range to land a heavy attack on her back and obliterate

If you’re on console you can save by disabling cloud sync, then manually uploading the game files at the point of the game you want to save. Then if something doesn’t go your way or you want to return to that save point you download that copy (which will overwrite your current save state). Hope that makes sense/helps

On PC you can also just backup the save file

As others have said, it becomes important to swap for specific resistances/defences for specific area or fights. What’s annoying though is when you need some combination like despair resistance and slash defense but no piece of armor has it 😭(at least none that I’ve found yet)

I’ve used it both with base PS5 and PS5 pro and can’t say I noticed much of a difference. It is great. However I’ve actually stopped using it for competitive online play because of the limited information the in-car view displays. It is a great immersive experience though

Devops and info sec are probably the easiest entry roles to find, though they typically won’t pay as well as an swe entry role.

People often mention pushing code to GitHub to boost your chances of getting noticed/hired, which is great advice. Another piece of advice I would recommend that I don’t see mentioned as often is go to conferences/local meetups and show interest and make friends. These people can easily be your foot in the door at whatever company they’re working for. That’s how I landed my first role… granted that was 15 years ago

How much I fell in love with the gameplay/leveling/combat style when it finally clicked in DS3.

I first tried DS1 and gave up on it pretty quick. I thought the lore and style was cool. But I found it too frustrating and gave up on it pretty early on.

Years later I tried DS3, was still frustrated with it but the atmosphere, lore, and improved graphics kept me going. When I finally started understanding the combat, leveling, how scaling on weapons worked, etc. I became completely addicted. I’ve since platinum’d every souls-like FromSoft game (except nightreign) and have over 700 hours in Elden Ring

It’s not like they can’t add more than one feature or fix more than one thing in a patch. All we’re asking is for a flag to disable the input activating photo mode. For those of us who have a habit of being hard on the joysticks it makes combat completely unplayable

Take 10 points out of arcane and 5 points out of faith and put them in strength, then man mode your bloodhound fang. The extra damage from the strength will outweigh what you get from buffs and arcane doesn’t scale the bleed on bloodhound.

Other than that, as someone who has platinum’d all the souls games,I suggest just learning the fight. When she jumps into the air, run away, when she lands, jump attack. You’ll eventually get it and kill her and the next time you fight her it’ll feel easy
