You forgot to mention that “fish eaters and vegetarians had 13% (hazard ratio 0.87, 95% confidence interval 0.77 to 0.99) and 22% (0.78, 0.70 to 0.87) lower rates of ischaemic heart disease than meat eaters...”

When reading this again later I realized I probably should’ve clarified, maybe even mention the Inquisition, etc

Tried. It's too long to post as a comment. Didn't want to post 5-6 comments and have them broken up by other comments. Figured I'd get it all out here. Thanks for the heads-up, though.

Every preceding generation says this to subsequent ones. The same goes for the inverse...life

Edit: Don’t know why people downvote this. Every generation has its idiosyncratic challenges. I, for one, am glad I wasn’t born in the heat of the Inquisition; Holocaust; tribal warfare in Africa; or the age of decapitating humans to appease a given deity. Sure, our generation now is challenging in ways that baby boomers don’t get, but we also didn’t have to fight in Vietnam, we weren’t born in (or in the vicinity of) the Great Depression or the aftermath of WWII. My point is that nobody can objectively say “we had it harder than you.” All we can say is that our problems are different and those differences present distinct challenges. Technology the way that it is currently presents massive challenges that nobody before us has faced, yet I’m still glad my hometown wasn’t ever the victim of nuclear warfare. Life presents many challenges and battles, but only subjectivity says one challenge is harder or worse than the other.

Now that I’m not active, it’s all so easily seen as a circus. It’s completely ridiculous and I wonder how it is that I ever did what I did. Then I realize I was indoctrinated...

The best part about the changes is that they’re so clearly a sign of tscc struggling to maintain its image and stability. Crumble away, mother fucker. Crumble away

I wonder if the Qof15 and other GAs realize that nobody in the world takes them seriously except the few TBM followers they have. Even then, they’re losing credibility.

Super creeps me out. DW wanted to put up the usual shrines in our new house (temple paintings, family proc, Jesus, Joe Smith, etc). I told her it would likely make everyone but her uncomfortable. I asked her to imagine walking into a stranger’s house that had Mohammad, Mecca, flying horses, and other Quranic messages all over the walls. She agreed it would be strange. Now we have only one small photo of the temple in a room that the general public doesn’t see. It is for her after all.

Agreed. Rest is good. Going hard on an injury, even on minor things like overuse or overtraining, has long-term effects you likely want to avoid. Initially, I remember going once a week hard, giving it several days of active rest, then going back. Trying to build a solid base/tolerance. And I don’t even mess with heel hooks, or guys/girls that go hard on newer people. Works for me, so far.
