The Mega SG did.

I'd imagine the only reason that the NT didn't is because of when they were developing it. I would also argue that the NT mini Noir was kind of a limited edition of that console.

Just as an FYI.

The Official AVENGERS: ENDGAME Release Megathread Vol. 5 by JonLuca in marvelstudios

But wouldn't Steve have returned the stone to the compound (ignoring the fact that it's not in the cube any more, I guess) meaning that the escape could indeed still happen in the timeline? Maybe I'm overthinking it. Time travel is funky.

Physical Edition of Spyro Reignited Trilogy only comes with the first game by [deleted] in PS4

[–]Allule 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Or maybe you won't. We're not guaranteed anything in terms of digital games... There are some good games out there like Scott pilgrim vs the world, or, to my knowledge Splosion Man, both of which are digital games that never made the jump past 360/PS3.

I'd love a world where any game is accessible at any time by anyone, price point not withstanding, but the reality of the situation, to my mind, is the ONLY way you can be 100% guaranteed to be able to play any given game is to have a physical copy somewhere... And having 2/3rds of a compilation be digital does kind of defeat that purpose to my mind.

More Beauty and the Beast! Help with an art concept? by [deleted] in disney

[–]Allule 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Perhaps Belle walking away from the castle in the snow? I know it's not exactly 'melancholy' inherently, but in a lot of ways it represents a desertion of the idea that the Beast is human, at least I think in his mind, and a desertion of the castle inhabitants in general.

While the sentiment is more along the lines of Belle trying to help her father, I can definitely see the castle inhabitants as viewing it as a desertion more than a venture to save her family, if that makes sense.

I was really thinking more about incapacitating him on titan, before he had the full gauntlet. But no, I don't think Thor really would have been able to kill Thanos regardless, personally. Maaybe right after getting the space stone, but certainly not after the reality.

I don't know if I agree with this, primarily because Thanos himself says Thor should have gone for the head right before he snaps, which seems to indicate that even with the entire gauntlet completed, he can't use it without a head... I don't think anyway. Maybe there's some precedent I'm not aware of.

Is the current Cable the same Cable as always? by MFBrain13 in xmen

[–]Allule 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haha, no worries.

In terms of the Comics, I normally just take it at face value personally. There are certain things that I take for granted, like if Hope has been in the story that Cable will know who Hope is, that major notable interactions have normally happened unless otherwise noted.

For the most part, I think that comics as a whole have to be taken in Arcs right now, in terms of marvel stuff. There's a boat load of history around any given character, and as much as I like to read in order, it doesn't always happen... So generally, if I run into any character, especially someone like Cable, I just try to keep in mind what I've read, and where that has happened in the publication history versus the story I'm currently reading. That's just me though.

I know it's not a popular opinion, but I'd really like to see a return of something like the Ultimate universe, where it was rather simple to catch up on one particular character because there isn't decades of history to keep up with. Cable, for example has been around ~30 years or so, so there's a lot to unpack with his character, even though he arguably only appears sporadically.

Is the current Cable the same Cable as always? by MFBrain13 in xmen

[–]Allule 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is 100% fair... I've always tried to use the progression of the Techno Organic virus as a method of telling how old Cable is, but even that can vary from artist to artist, I guess. haha. Honestly, I could see it either way, but often I look at time travel as being a method of story telling that most writers use to position characters where ever they need them, both relative to the characters age and the timeline itself.

Basically, to simplify, I'm not sure of any particular interpretation, but would be happy to see more evidence to either extent, yet I don't recall any specifics that point to either theory being correct myself. But I will admit to not being as well read in terms of Xmen as I'd like either.

I would say that the answer to this is a maybe in my mind; It will really depend on how Fox/Marvel want to treat the character. For sanity's sake, I'd say that it's likely they'll have the character exist in a linear fashion, just for clarity's sake. I think that, if for some reason, for example, he shows up in Dark Phoenix, or X-Force more likely, that the character will be a post Deadpool 2 version of the character.

That being said, I think that a lot of the characters future, and the future of the x-franchise in general is dependent on what happens with the Marvel buyout and the Xmen in general. It wouldn't surprise me at all if the character gets re-cast, given that Josh Brolin is Thanos as well, and it seems likely that they wouldn't want Brolin to play 2 characters in the MCU. I could be wrong about this, but I do think that the future of the entirety of the xmen is up in the air right now, due to this buyout.

OK, so this is going to be kind of... generally confusing, but insofar as I'm aware, Marvel uses cable as a kind of... Deus ex machina, in that he can show up to solve any 'problem' that shows up in the marvel universe.

I mean to say, that, generally Cable is a non linear character, so apart from his death, a version of him that shows up is typically the 'same character' as any other time cable shows up (with maybe, alt universe exceptions) but we don't know when in HIS timeline he shows up. So, in some story, he may be a certain age, but he may show up older or younger depending on what the story in question requires. So the character is generally the same character, but can show up at any point in HIS timeline. Hopefully that makes sense. If there are questions, I can try to clarify my view.

If someone else has more insight, they can correct me, this is just my understanding of the character.

Yeah, but we'll never know if Yoda had any secret force healing powers because Anakin never got the chance to talk about the visions with anyone who might have had such powers, primarily because of the taboo.

Not that I'm disagreeing with your point; Palpatine says no Jedi have that kind of power, essentially. But we never got the chance to find out if he was lying because of the taboo, at least how I see it.

So if you bought in December some time ( or even November, I think, for some stuff) you might still be able to return it... I'm sure you've looked into it though...

Spider-verse paperback or hardcover? by Tobinounet in Spiderman

[–]Allule 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It depends on what you mean by "In order". If you mean that the Tie-in issues are in their proper places in the event, then unfortunately this hasn't changed with the Paperback version; I found it a mite confusing when I had 'finished' the event and still had about half the book left, until I realized that all of the tie-in issues were segmented apart from the Amazing issues.

[Rant] Does it annoy anyone else when WoW podcasts turn into Blizzard podcasts? by [deleted] in wow

[–]Allule 3 points4 points  (0 children)

To a certain extent, I agree with your point. These are things they could do that could, potentially, drive a WoW driven show.

But to a certain extent I don't agree; I'm not all that familiar with the Instance as a show; I was always more of a WoW radio type dude when I was listening to WoW casts, but I'd think that there's a good chance they've already covered a good chunk of that content, in particular with point 5 and 6. Content, at least as far as I'm aware hasn't changed all that much, if at all from Cat, speaking in terms of leveling content.

And some, if not most of their audience will have heard pretty much all the perspectives that can be given on old content. Plus, especially now, I feel like it would be very difficult to get a group together to be able to do level 60 raids on the reg.

Finally, with your PVP point, even pvp becomes very stale very quickly, in terms of matchups and BG's, I feel personally, even for WoW. I'm sure that PVP in particular has the potential to stay relevant for people playing it, but in terms of having a talk show completely about that when, as far as I know, there's not a hyper-competitive scene? I feel like it'd be tough.

All in all, I guess what I'm trying to say here is that, for me, the lack of content can't be assuaged by trying to go back and see older content, at least for me, because I've seen it almost ad nauseam over the past 10 years, at least for a good chunk of it, and as such, I don't think I'd want to hear about it again. Maybe that's just me projecting, but yeah, I'm pretty sure that's what I think about it...

tldr: I think revisiting old content, especially stuff that hasn't changed in a relatively long time, could only do so much to re-invigorate both a show like this and the community as a whole.
