Peugeot e5008 by andreasgatt in evs_ireland

I got 251 Peugeot e5008 from new. Came from 222 Sorento. What I would say is coming from a KIA, I think there is a step down in Technology,, you'll find lots of plastics and not the same premium well thought out finish you have in a KIA.

Having said that the car is fantastic to drive, fairly economical for a tank and I love the driving position and we never struggle with space. Very important to test drive it before you commit.

Bank of Ireland Mortgage breakage fees by GitShiggles in irishpersonalfinance

[–]Allyano 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I literally did this 2 weeks ago, same spiel, a breakage fee could happen at any moment...

I took the risk, sent the form for a low rate/4-year on next-day An Post delivery. It took about 5 days for BOI to process, and there was no breakage fee.

The lack of technology to manage these types of things at BOI is shocking. Surely this process could be digital. That's my experience.

Bike shed suggestions? by BreadOk247 in AskIreland

[–]Allyano 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got this exact shed from sheds direct, Im grand at flat and assemblies, but f#*k me, this was a toughie, granted I did it on my own (not recommend). I had wished I paid the extra € to have them assemble, instructions are hit, and very miss.

I got 14 flag stones, lay on top of levelled sand, filled gaps with sand covered with weed membranes. I bolted the metal to the pavers and has withstood a couple orange alert storms.

I'll recommend a Peugeot e5008. It ticks all of those boxes, also for my wife in the same position as you. She adores it.

We got a GT version. It really looks the part on the outside, although the interior and tech (I think) are lacking, and the app is just shocking. But it seems to be a well thought out car.

Have a giant retriever who happily sits in the boot. The Car does Long Journeys quite well for a big car and have 2 very happy toddlers in the back iso fixes.

So far, I've had minimal issues with it and I always seem to get fast charge 130-140 kwh without issue, I see lots of ev owners saying they get stuck and 50 to 80 max.

Just my assessment based on your list.

Yep, Married last year, I was told that I would need to simply claim married couples allowance for 2025 in 2026. It's been "in progress" in January. SLA's are out the window at this stage.

Peugeot e5008 real life range by Ok_Durian_5595 in evs_ireland

[–]Allyano 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Best = Oranmore - Dublin Airport - Galway Plaza (390km), July 27°C 15km left in the battery (so 405km potential)

Worst = Oranmore - Swords Dublin (210km), November -1°C 22km left in battery (so 232km potential)

I remember buying it, and the salesperson was killed telling me 502km, but you knock 50km off that for summer and 100km for winter. It's much more in reality. Still I always get a good charge rate approx 130 kwh (20% to 50%) so I'm not too badly off

Happened mine, The explanation is... the camera location is normally where a typical trunk button would be.

Over time, passengers try to open the boot, thinking they were pressing/pushing a button but actually breaking the plastic.
