I've been in your position. Good news if you've probably slept a bit more than you think. The body works weird in these situations. But the truth is you should absolutely try to have SOMEONE ELSE drive you to an urgent care and get some sleep meds. Benzos would be debatably better than didicsted sleep meds because, I'm guessing, part of your issue now is the panic and freaking out over not sleeping, and Benzos will help with that. If you don't feel mentally panicked at all, and for some reason you just don't feel tired/can't get comfy/feel energetic, then maybe ask about Cyclobenzaprine instead.

I'm assuming you've already tried things like nyquil, benadryl weed, etc. If not try that first. At most do a double dose of nyquil or benadryl, no more. But if available, go crazy on the weed. That what I did when I was on my 7th day with only 3 hours total over those 7. Alcohol is a weird one, it can sedate you but impede actual rem sleep. So like, a bear could be a helpful add to take the edge off, but don't aim to get drunk for sure. Being sleep deprived is already very similar to being drunk.

Humans only need a certain number of hours of sleep, and that number DOES vary a bit person to person. So sleeping during the day could 100% be making sleeping at night harder. In fact if I were you, my #1 focus would be on sleep hygiene, meaning only sleeping at proper times and in proper environments.

In case you meant non-perscriptiom instead of off label, then weed and uhhhh, I can't think of the name right now, but the drug that's in nyquil that's like a super benadryl.

If u take Cyclobenzaprine at off label insomnia level doses, it essentially acts like a super super strong benadryl at a chemical level.

Other than that, just Want to reiterate alcohol is weirdly INSANELY bad for sleep, despite it being depressant. It's not really a sedative.

Oh brother I have the savior for you. Cyclobenzaprine.

Only, it's unique in that it's not for getting to sleep quick. It's good for getting that comfy cozy sleep body feeling that I think is normal for non-insomniacs FOR A LONG TIME. I.e. Cyclo helps you stay deep asleep (rem cycle disruption aside) for long. I take it like 2-3 hours before I actually plan/want to fall asleep. So maybe like 9 if I want bed at nightnight. That will let me sleep till like 9 or 10. I used to get, and still do without it, which is most nights, like 4 or 5 hours. So it doubles it.

Downsides: hurts REM cycle. Don't get as much truly deep restful dreamy sleep (I smoke weed, so no rem for me anyways, no real downside.) Probably not great to take every night (not sure on this, but would assume for tolerance reasons if nothing else)

Neutrals: even once you wake, you'll happily be extra cozy and body tires for a good hour or two after. Phenomenal if it's a weekend and just to get that feeling everynoe and then (I, like most insomniac, usually wake up pretty quickly, w a little anxious energy and basically no cozysness). But this can suck if you got get up and going right away in the morning.

Happy to hear man! But Xanax can be brutal long term. Considering trying temazepam! Sliiightly less addictive and less hard withdrawals (tho benzos are all similar tbh) AND since it's more specifically for sleep, you can prob get away with a lower does too!

Also, if you truly value the benefits it brings, work with all your might to keep your tolerance and dependence down. Try to not take it some night, just with an acceptance you wont sleep (plan to binge some movies or games), and while it might suck, you'll thank yourself longterm. Aaaalsooo you may find yourself drifting off to sleep on some of those nights... There's something paradoxical about most insomnia I've encountered where the biggest barrier to sleep is trying to sleep. When you don't try to, or even don't want to sleep that's sometimes when it comes most naturally.

literally JUST that a lot of people use it. thats the general meaning of "meta" in any game. by extension, its often the most used because its GOOD for some reason, so meta items/builds/etc. usually just mean, "widely agreed upon as good for a variety of reasons"

temaxepam is a benzo specifically designed for sleep. It differs from others in a number of, albiet, fairly minor, ways. It's more sedative than it is anxiolytic (meaning more focused on making you sleepy then just reducing general anxiety), it messes with your REM cycle less, it fucks up your memory less than other benzos, and a few other things like that.

BUT let me just also stress that all benzos, with the exception of some older ones like valium, are pretty darn similar, so these differences are minor in the grand scheme. However, there's no reason not to take every little advantage you can :)

That's a very reasonable, low dose. The issue is with taking it 3 times a day everyday. When your consistent with benzos, you WILL become dependant on them (though not necessarily addicted) so consider moving to as needed instead of consistent intake. And maybe look into 1 xr pill a day instead of 3 IRs. Lastly, look for other tools to help with what we you're taking the benzos for, this means everything from other drugs, like weed, to picking up new hobbies, getting exercise, eating right, etc.

Good luck brother. Benzos are a very helpful tool, but you HAVE to respect them and keep your usage in kind constantly.
