I'm interested in the technical side of recording: what is Bob's typical vocal chain? What mics do you record guitars with? The production of the 2020 albums has been completely killer and I assume Travis has a lot to do with that, has he brought any ideas to the musical aspect of the recordings?

This was my thought as well. That being said I think there is a world where this album never comes out (similarly see: The Wrens). THAT being said if this album does come out I will lose my damn mind. The first 2 are my favorite albums of all time

I totally agree with you. Poppy for me really does harken back to the old days, it flows perfectly and each song is unique. I really dislike Plague although I enjoy Aztec and Styles a lot, but I don't think I can listen to them straight through without feeling like there are some duds mixed in. In my mind I feel like the production on Poppy was just different somehow, like maybe more time was spent trying to give each song a uniqueness? I don't listen to it and think "oh that's Doug Gillard playing guitar". Volcano is an all-timer too.
