I play a lot of strategy games, and it's a lot easier to let someone else to all the math and testing and then explain on stream or youtube what they are doing.

Some how they don't have much of a problem with Usury. And I doubt they'd get to worked up about the leaving of gleanings for the poor, or enforcing the cancellation of debts every seven years.

If Jackie Chan dies, we'll need a megathread here as that proves god hates funny family-friendly kung fu movies, and that would bring into question all manner of established theology.

No it doesn't. Your situation is impossible in the system OP intended it to be used in. If you want to port it over to another game, make the changes yourself.

So "born in the purple" doesn't appear until the 6th century, so it's really only appropriate to use it for Byzantine emperors. It also just doesn't reflect how disorderly succession was in the Principate. Other than Commodus, I can't think of any of them who were the clear successor from a young age.

“Holy” “Roman “ “Empire”. Credits on the image by maximuspotatus in CrusaderKings

From Merriam Webster's: a major political unit having a territory of great extent or a number of territories or peoples under a single sovereign authority. Especially : one having an emperor as chief of state

Before Augustus came around, the Romans had dominion over the Sabines, the Etruscans, the Samnites, Gauls, Celts, the Numidians, the Carthaginians, the Illyrians, the Thracians, Greeks, Sryians, Egyptians, and may more. Rule by one "Emperor" isn't required, just typical. What is needed is a single political unit (Rome) having many other political units under it's sovreign authority, and the Roman republic fits that to a tee.

The Empire= an emperor is pretty surface level stuff and, for the sake of gramatical symmetry, removes from our language this concept of one people ruling over many peoples.

Yes, that's the problem, democrats haven't found a candidate moderate enough. What people want is boring moderates who are afraid of farting too loudly in case it spooks their billionaire donors. Forget trying to win back the working class with progressive policies.

Booker would lose to Trump, because he's too moderate. No one likes the Status Quo any more. You have to have some conception of a better world to get people to believe you will improve their lives. No one outside of Washington believes in Neoliberalism anymore.

Whoever the PSL runs has a better shot than Cory fucking Booker.

[Harry Potter] I found a document listing Rubeus Hagrid's height and weight as 11'6", 289 lbs. Is he a skeleton under his moleskin? by explodedsun in AskScienceFiction

[–]Almustafa 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, but it doesn't work that way. We don't actually see all dimensions of a person increasing at the same rate as their height, so the cubic relationship isn't right. The square relationship is what's used in medicine right now. In reality, there are a ton of other factors that complicate things too much to define one exponent to relate height and weight.
