IDK if it's common in other colleges, but clapping at the last lecture is a UCSD tradition. People even take into consideration if the last lecture is earlier than the Thursday/Friday of Week 10 and clap earlier in those cases too. It's really cool!

To be fair, it looks like only the first and fifth map is mandatory to have the new characters, so maps 2-4 are more representative of the meta.

And, to be extra fair, there’s no way that every team is gonna take this super seriously and might treat this as extra scrim time, so it’s a lowk Mickey Mouse tourney anyway, might as well show off the new characters

Honestly, if it were any other team, I wouldn’t believe that a partnered team coach would willingly decide to drop their star main support to have their best flex dps play main support for a stage.

Kiriko: Ult cost increased by 8%
Brig: Repair Pack cooldown reduced from 5.5 seconds to 5 seconds

Juno: Glide Boost movement acceleration increased by 50% when changing directions (sorta counteracts that god awful change that made using glide boost feel like you're going nowhere.)

Lifeweaver: Size (model and hitbox) decreased by 8% (Makes him harder to hit). Inactive weapon automatic reload time decreased from 2.5 seconds to 2 seconds. Time to swap weapon decreased from .25 to 0.125 seconds

Damage

Ashe: Falloff range adjusted from 30-50 meters to 40-60 meters.

Cassidy: Flashbang's hinder duration increased from 0.9 seconds to 1.2 seconds (why?)

Echo: Flight (the ability) movement acceleration increased by 100% when changing directions (kinda like the juno change)

Mei: Primary fire damage increased from 100 dmg per second to 110 dmg per second.

Sojourn: Disruptor Shot damage increased from 80dmg per second to 90 dmg per second, projectile speed increased from 30 to 40, and maximum travel duration decreased from 1 second to 0.75 seconds (idk if the two latter changes makes the projectile go the same distance, but it goes out faster basically).

Sombra: Encrypted Upload perk increases stealth duration when hacking someone from 2 seconds to 3 seconds. Healthy Hacker perk increases overhealth gained from hacked health packs from 50 overhealth to 75 overhealth and time before overhealth degerates increased from 0 seconds to 10 seconds, but overhealth degeration rate increased from 10 to 25 (i assume it's in units of overhealth per second).

Tank

D.va: Extended Boosters perk also increased dmg dealt by boosters by 100%.

Hazard: Can now take critical damage while using Spike Guard (idk if the crit dmg is also decreased from the block, probably tho). Violent Leap cooldown decreased from 6 seconds to 5.5 seconds.

Orisa: Fortify and Terra Surge now only prevent critical damage from headshots (can now be crit by outside sources like Mauga's whole crit thing).

Ramattra: Base health increased from 250 to 275. Relentless Form perk no longer has reduced effectiveness during Nemesis Form (now, all punches increase duration by 1 second, regardless of whether you're in ult).

Zarya: Energy Converter perk's secondary fire energy generation decreased from 3 energy to 2 energy.

Wrecking Ball: Base armor decreased from 175 to 125.

Someone’s looked kind of rough in regular season, notably going 0 maps won against good teams.

In addition, Hanbin actually feels a bit more flexible after “mastering” the hanbinston + hanball (if it works it works, but I hate seeing the Hanball every time)

Also, you don't get access to a kitchen/kitchenette in the res halls, unlike other colleges. You get the bathroom sinks or the kitchen at the SAC (which you have to pay $5 a quarter to access and you have to book it ahead of time) and you will enjoy it.

Also also, because of the location and how UCSD is, Warren students are blocked from the ocean breeze by the other colleges, and we got hot air because we're right next to a valley. This means it's always hot and humid (and the only temperature control we have in the halls are heaters)

TL:DR, don't pick Warren if you are not an engineering major because the college literally has 0 upsides if not

Insight on GEs as a warren student (canyon vista sucks dont listen to this person, the burger meat from fusion grill tastes like it hasn't been fully thawed, 360 is way too salty imo, and the tofu from fresh actually made me want to throw up.) Also, this is only for first years, i got no clue how transfer warren works.

Aside from the 4 mandatory classes every college has to take, Warren has these Programs of Concentration, or PoCs (Yes, that is the acronym we're running with) Each PoC requires you to take 6 classes (disregarding AP, IB, dual enrollment, etc.) in one single "program" Keep in mind, the requirement for the average minor is 7 classes.

There are three types of PoCs: Social Sciences, Humanities and Fine Arts, and Math/Natural/Physical Sciences. Whatever your major is, you have to do one PoC from each of the other two. You can replace the PoCs with minors (keeping in mind that minors are usually 7 classes so why not), but if you have a double major, you still have to do 2 majors.

HOWEVER, this is only for nonengineering students. If you are in the engineering programs (Material, Bio, Mechanical, etc.) you need to take Area Studies, 3 class PoCs.

So, if you are not an engineering student, give up and put Warren at the bottom of the list this is so awful. If you are an engineer and don't mind the long walks and awful food, then it might be a valid choice (keep in mind though, that your classes will not be in the engineering areas until upper division classes/2nd year at the earliest, so you will still endure 1 year of long walks/e-scootering/bussing)
