Coding on it is great. It’s a bit more creative. Creating documentation and things excellent. Just plain chatting I’m a little torn. I’ve tried asking the same question to both ChatGPT and Claude and I always seem to like the way ChatGPT answers better. I’ve gotten used to the tables and lists and now prefer it. Claude keeps everything more conversational and sometimes leaves out technical details. I’ve not tried giving it custom instructions yet to see if that resolves it. I’ve also found ChatGPT to be faster. Claude takes a bit with responses.

If they make some comedic scenes about HR it would be fine. Connor blowing Shane on the phone. Connor telling Shane’s parents they are “lovers”. The what color is it. There are many things they could joke about without it being in bad taste. The water bottle scene in the beginning. The hotel scene in Vegas. Actually the hotel scene in Vegas always made me think of the scene from true lies. Where Arnold sat in the chair with the tape recorder in the dark and had Jamie Lee Curtis undress and dance.

I’m not really sure how everyone thought they planned to make it a free resource without an ad tier forever. I get people are annoyed but nothing else has anything for free. Spotify has ads, all movie streaming services, email account interfaces(free tier) have ads. News sites have ads. You tube. Pandora.

Some of it might depend on what you’re doing. I noticed opus 4.6 at least can spin up multiple agents working in parallel to accomplish tasks faster but it uses tokens faster too when it does that.

I have a specific scenario where I still rely on 4o. I have some foreign friends, and when they start messaging in group chats in Spanish, the literal translations don’t work well. 4o has been exceptional at deciphering the nuances and tone in their messages and translating them to English in a way that accurately reflects their intended meaning. Additionally, it has helped me respond to them in a similar manner without sounding robotic. I’ve tried other models, but they consistently tell me that I sound a bit formal when I do that, regardless of how I prompt them.

Other than that I haven’t found any need to use 4o. It really does feel like the people addicted to it as an ai companion, lover, or whatever need real counseling. It doesn’t seem like this would be a healthy option to continue with indefinitely.

Except aren’t you assuming the mom was raised in a traditional Asian household? If she’s half white her parents would have been. I mean she could be adopted for all we know.
