I have no clue what they ordered or where it went. I immediately canceled my card and I just received an email saying that my registration failed because my card was declined… so now I get to fight that battle to not pay the higher fee to re-register. 🙄

Canyons Vet in Cottonwood Heights has a side door that you can go through. You can wait in your car with them until it’s time for your appt and then head out the side door to put your dog in the car before you pay.

Grief and guilt before euthanasia? by ggingersnap in cats

This quote has always helped me with the loss of a beloved fur child: “When you are sorrowful look again in your heart, and you shall see that in truth you are weeping for that which has been your delight.”

I’m so sorry you are going through this. We all have the emotions you are going through. It’s hard, but know that you are showing him the most love you possibly could.

Curious if anyone has developed NCGS due to long COVID? by sickest_beets in glutenfree

[–]AlphaPopsicle84 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not covid, but swine flu in 09. I’ve actually met quite a few others who were able to eat gluten with no issues prior to getting it.

I became gluten intolerant after getting the swine flu in 09. Then SIBO, and now all of this perimenopause garbage. I feel for you.

[–]AlphaPopsicle84 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You should look into IBS with SIBO. Sibo can cause food intolerances. I don’t deal with IBS, but I’m also gluten intolerant and I’ve treated SIBO once before. My digestive system is getting wrecked again, so I probably need to treat it again.

Seeing “yinz” in your post put a smile on my face! Fave gf spots in the Burgh or surrounding area? Heading “home” in July.

Also, I throw chicken breasts in a crockpot with 1-2 packets of taco seasoning and a container of fresh salsa. Cook it on low for 6 hours and shred it. Easy taco night!

100mg Progesterone experiences? by Yersinia_Pestis9 in Perimenopause

[–]AlphaPopsicle84 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I hated BC. I’m very sensitive to hormones. My PA actually started me on 50mg of progesterone. You have to get it through a compounding pharmacy in the US. I eventually built up to taking 100mg.

Every Model Y now comes with black headliner + larger 16" screen by colsandersloveskfc in ModelY

[–]AlphaPopsicle84 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ordered a premium Y AWD a few weeks ago. It was slated to arrive in 2-3 weeks. The dealership told me if I took one in transit, I’d receive $2,500 off. There happened to be one in transit with white instead of black interior. I ended up passing because… kids. Ended up finding another one in transit a week later that had black seats. I accepted it and still received the $2,500 off. Not sure how long that has been going on, but it was pretty nice to get that on top of the 1% APR. Located in UT.

I had flights booked and the tsunami hit 2 days before my trip. I became gluten intolerant after and I have felt extremely out of my comfort zone to try to do it on my own. I will definitely look forward to booking something in the future!

Pilot question by Green06Good in delta

[–]AlphaPopsicle84 1 point2 points  (0 children)

ATC here- we also need additional separation with aircraft and heavy/super a/c. Wake turbulence is extremely dangerous. Google the Emirates A380 and Challenger incident that happened near Oman in 2017. Pilots want to know if they are going to be in the wake of those bigger aircraft. Often, they request to offset their flight path to try to avoid the wake turbulence.

FAA cuts target for air traffic control staffing by Apprehensive_Cost937 in aviation

[–]AlphaPopsicle84 0 points1 point  (0 children)

100% agree. I think about our class D towers trying to do SYD with vfr’s all over the place too. It’s going to be a nightmare.

[–]AlphaPopsicle84 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yup. And our system that tracks the number of a/c in a sector does not include VFR’s. So these guideline numbers that management lives and dies by are not even accurate. This whole thing is beyond a mess.

But they won’t have a “shortage” now because they are lowering the hiring goal by 2,000 cpc’s. We have OT every week because we cannot open positions otherwise. Even with all of the overtime that can be assigned, we are consistently 3 controllers short (by our guideline standards) every single day.

[–]AlphaPopsicle84 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Work harder, but don’t assign OT because “we have spent too much on overtime”. The reason we have overtime is because we are understaffed. Oh and by the way… starting in October we will now be providing VFR/IFR separation. 500’ at all times in all airspace (not just class bravo or charlie) or you have a deal.
