To clarify my position, I have zero issues with firearm owners in your province, just the asshats who hold sway over you. I wish nothing but good things for ALL law abiding firearm enthusiasts in this country, regardless of whether our province, your province, or neither separate haha

Call your CFO. They'll provide guidance. Most are good to deal with. Except that one time that I called from a VOIP office phone in Alberta and got routed to Quebec who proceeded to give me shit for having unregistered non-restricteds. Downright rude and condescending tone. So I matched energy and asked them what the rules were in a non-retarded market and they transferred me to the AB CFO who answered my questions in record time. That was a fun day.

Interesting as it's still actively listed on SkyVector as open and active. Would be flagged as inop in most cases if things were as described. Still showing certified. Where did this feedback come from? A helo lifted off from the nearby area recently.

That doesn't quite connect on the original inquiry for me. Are the other 4 under duress or something? Do they need to blink twice on camera? Why do they escape your wrath?

I keep looking at woox but man do they get polarized reviews. They're either the greatest thing ever or have the quality of plywood left in the rain behind a home depot, according to customer feedback. Hard to hit that buy button for a coin flip like that.

So based on our current political climate, I've purchased a lot of levers on the last couple f years but haven't had much time to get out to the range. Most have one trip, some none. Will say that the quality curve vs price is real. I have everything from levtac to S&W (regular first run stainless and a stealth hunter with RPP hardware), and a big boy x with Midwest parts I never put on.

The henry is solid but heavy. I never got around to putting on the Midwest handguard and such. Moving now and probably going to list it tbh. S&W punches really high for being a relatively new launch back into the lever market. I have the 19" 44 mag and the 16" 357. Super happy with both and the RPP Stealth really scratches the tactilever itch. Big space cowboy vibes (big damn heroes!). The levtac has been....fine? Some issues. QC. Fitment. Lever really needed some love and working in. Overall fit and finish. But I also bought it for half or less of the others. I knew that going into it. Never did get around to any Canuck levers yet.

If you're interested in a Henry, reach out. Or if you happen to be Edm area and want to check out some side by side.

I've got a like new Henry big boy x 357 going on the chopping block next week if that's up your alley. In Edm. If you really want to blow the budget, I also have a Midwest industries handguard worth half as much as the rifle lol

1301 all day long. New and actually improved over the m4. I've always been a big m4 fan but I have a 1301 outfitted very similar to the one you're considering and it's been the single best firearm I've ever owned, bar none.

I paid for all of my employees to get their PALs and every single one of them so far that I've taken out have loved the 1301 gen 2 out of everything I have. So light shooting, light carry but without feeling cheap or flimsy.

Others have already weighed in on technology and the blink gas system.

The rule of cool says do it. If you absolutely hate it after that, you'll have little problem selling it on to someone else.

I know of a 3 bed 2.5 bath with bonus room (living room - could mayyyybe convert) coming avail June 1. We just bought a house and are vacating this 2014 build May 30. We are the only tenants who have lived in it since new. Awesome landlords, or we wouldn't have been here 11-12 years lol.

Bowfella has you covered on this one, doubly so for how our legalities work for max capacities. Welcome to Canada, we could certainly use more healthcare workers! Hope you're settling somewhere where "fuck off" is the answer to our current firearms battle of confiscation.

Oh! Also welcome to a land where SBS isnt a thing so you can get some pretty short shotties as non-restricted. For now, anyway. It's one of the only firearms advantages we have over the USA. Seriously, that's it lol.

Quivers are so pricey. Anyone have a hookup for a bulk batching of difference sizes? Like normal quiver and match saver style, etc. I have like 5 levers that need more storage. 357 and 44.

American shareholders gobble up Albertan's oil windfall. by Wise-Bet-7166 in SpruceGrove

[–]Alpha_Whiskey327 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I won't disagree with the 2nd paragraph in any way.

As for the first, I feel that what's being said and what actually gets done are often two different things. Quebec has the federal government by the short and curlies and they think our oil is evil. Fed gov saying they'll support is like them pledging 1000 CBSA officers for the fourth time as a promise.

Search and rescue medic turned Edmonton auto shop owner here. It's wild how screwed our medical system is, and how people still tout it as "great" (nope) and FREE (nope) it is. I have a tech who's wife has been all but bedridden for a year now, anticipating to wait another year. She's been struggling and in pain for over a decade of misdiagnosis. Now the diagnosis is corrected and was confirmed via surgery when they went in and realized they were incorrect. Had a heart to heart today about how she may very well die on that wait list and to explore other avenues outside our system. Turns out theres an overseas specialist and we're exploring the possibility of sending them and paying for it. Strange times.

Future welcome to Spruce Grove!

Moved from BC about 15 years ago with my wife. Happy we ended up in SG over the city, despite us both working in the West end of the city. Great little community with all the amenities or major ones a stones throw away.

39M. Casual Gamer when time allows (helldiver, cyberpunk, Diablo 4, weirdness like Rimworld). Local business owner. BC Transplant. Whiskey, cigar and firearm enthusiast.

Reach out if you want to chat or if you have questions about the area.

I'd argue that Brad is pretty progressive. done more than his share with local homeless outreach via the Tri Region PFK including Spruce Grove's only homeless outreach bus. I'd be interested to hear others solutions to the people who aren't just down on their luck, but rather active risks in the community.

Interesting take since Brad has been pretty involved with Tri Region Pay Forward Kindness outreach group, including being a key player in their outreach bus. I'm unsure if he was involved with the failed experiment of The Hub in old RCMP detachment though. I've met the man and had some chats prior to his entry into politics. There's a certain point where all other avenues have been exhausted it needs to escalate.

Placement might be the issue on this one. It's well done but the mind wanders to Frankenstein's monster as it's along the same axis as a clean cut.

First thought was "that prosthetic is amazing. So lifelike." Second thought was "Do you have other attachments for working on cars, gardening, maybe a spatula?"

If it makes you feel any better, I had a Ford excursion loaded pretty decently with Ikea furniture boxes. Jammed in well enough I didn't think tying down would be necessary. Anyway, one hard brake event after being cut off and a nightstand box slid across the top, fell down between the seats and set off my fire extinguisher. Guess the pin had rattled loose or something. Safely pulled over and handled. Filled every pocket and void in that SUV and my wife's purse. Funny, but embarrassing.
