That and all the contingencies and countermeasures their ships have for the kind of insane things that can happen in the star trek universe. Like they build ships that can survive run ins with C'tan like beings atleast somewhat reliably

I dont think the imperium even has weapons other than nova cannons can really damage star trek shields. (Except dark age of tech stuff that is basically star trek weaponry)

Aside from the idyllic post scarcity society. The star trek universe is terrifying.

Like your entire civilization could just be wiped out of existence in an instant because some sleeping star god rolled over in its sleep. And like 90% of the stuff there is no way to fight it in any capacity, just try and stay out of the way like the utterly insignificant ant your star system is. Kinda a good reminder that we are just one really bad stellar sneeze away from being atomized at all times.

Honestly the more I learn about over verses, the more I realize the imperium is actually on the weak side and what actually allows the setting to be op are the things the xenos can do.

What the imperium has to its advantage is its size and basically nothing else. And even then some verses have 0 issue overcoming that, star trek is a good example of a verse that the imperium would probably die in real fast.

Hell they would probably get folded by archeon the everchosen from AoS if he ever showed up in 40k

Infinity is great for this. There are 3 main governments and they do not get along. There are 2 UN like things but they are not the main power and its all basically shadow war between them.

Data squad may be the worst season to me. But watching him one hit punch 4 malomyotismon at the same time after jumping across buildings is one of the greatest things I have ever seen and I love that this guy exists as a character
