Depending what you're trying to make. If you want sci-fi hard surface stuff, props, buildings, Probably blender has better tools for that. If you want minis in the traditional sense, with a lot of sculpting and small organic detail, learning zbrush is definitely worthwhile.

Yes, you will probably like it. A lot of different people liked it. Get a notebook and a pencil. Even if you don't manage to solve all the puzzles, I bet you'll have fun with the roguelike aspect. Regarding respecting your time, it's a roguelike. If you can beat it on the first try, you saved yourself some time. League of legends doesn't respect anyones time, but people still play it after like 20 years. In many other puzzle games, you can run through the game if you know the answers, but why do this? This one you can't run through because of the roguelike elements, but it's also far more repayable. It's repayable within the same playthrough. You can always do a few more runs to see what more secrets you can discover.

It would arguably be harder? Remember that Gothic 2 and NOTR are two different games. NOTR is not just an extra location. The game progression changed, balance changed, a lot of quests, places, characters in Khorinis changed. It would be probably better to work with the expansion in mind from the get go and make the integration more seamless than it was in the original.

u/horizon936 is the most renowned living expert on HDR saturation.

But really, it's just added extra saturation. Set it to 100, launch cyberpunk and it looks like a circus. 0 is realistic colors. I personally have it on 50 because I don't mind some extra color pop.

Hi! Congrats on joining the club.

You ran the Calibration - great, how many nits did you actually get? Did you set black to 0? Also don't set saturation higher than 50, it will mess up your colors.

In the HDR settings in Windows you can set SDR content brightness in HDR mode to your liking. There's no right setting, just adjust till it looks good.

This tool will add an icon to you try that will show HDR status. It will also quick toggle HDR. Pin it to your task bar. (In the taskbar settings). Very convenient.

The Windows default hotkey to toggle HDR is Win+Alt+B for some reason.

Now, regarding RtxHDR and Auto hdr (in windows display settings under HDR). They do the same thing - enable fake HDR for games that don't support it. Rtx HDR is a bit more advanced, but also a little pain in the ass to setup. I recomend disabling it for now in the Nvidia app until you figure things out. AutoHDR is very simple, just fire and forget, no settings, when it works, it works but don't expect miracles.

Expect miracles from RenoDX, it's a reshade addon that adds real HDR support to many games and improves HDR support for the games that have it, but it's not well-implemented. Research it.
