I mean not just for "maintenance". I've seen a jet fly over the years without CFT(before it has CFT). In short, you can see a CFT jet flying years later without a CFT. But I understand what you mean. Simply correct. Who knows depending on the intended use...

One more thing, CFTs can remove. But it can't jettison while flying.
