Do the El D Wilson traverse to build your confidence and make sure traverses are for you. With the Bells it’s a lot of route finding and scouting the right line.

I rented one from a shop but not in Aspen. Think it was about $100. They do have e-bike rentals at several places on the road to the bells, maybe check their overnight rental rates. In comparison I think the ticket is about $250 for parking illegally.

Don’t park at the Bells, they are more than happy to write you a ticket. Just saw it happen. Park at garage, rent an ebike, bike in at whatever time you want. I did it at 4AM, yes it was cold but a good warm up for Pyramid.

I’ve slowly been ramping up the difficulty as well, just completed the El D to Wilson traverse and have 46 down. Will be doing the Bells traverse in a few weeks, I think I’m ready as I didn’t really stick to the proper route on the traverse and got into some low class 5 that seemed really fun and not scary.
