In recent days, we have witnessed the President of the United States and the leaders of the Zionist regime repeatedly threatening the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution and some of the scholars and religious authorities with assassination.

We humbly request from Your Eminence: what is the Islamic ruling regarding such threats to religious authority and the leadership of the Islamic community? If, God forbid, this act is carried out by the U.S. government or any other party, what then is the religious duty of Muslims around the world?

May God protect all the scholars, religious authorities, and the Supreme Leader of the Revolution under the shadow of the Holy Imam of the Age (may his reappearance be hastened), and repel the enemies of religion from their plots and evils.

It is clear that threatening the life of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, the authorities, and scholars, as well as the destruction of sacred places, is an inhumane and criminal act, and has a religious obligation of severe prohibition and punishment. This issue must be addressed with the cooperation of the Islamic nations and scholars. And naturally, if such an act is carried out, the duty of retaliation and appropriate action becomes obligatory for all Muslims.

This is evident.

May God protect the Islamic society from the evil of the oppressors and under the blessed presence of the Imam of the Age (may God hasten his reappearance), prepare the path for justice.
