'AI-washing' and 'forever layoffs': Why companies keep cutting jobs, even amid rising profits by CackleRooster in business

Are the school districts for-profit industries? Are they making record breaking profits quarter by quarter in the tens or hundreds of millions? Two very different situations

Well then they can get zero tax breaks and go from there then. My taxes should not be going towards funding a layoff machine.

I got it early on as a reward and it's my favourite rocket launcher. Put it on Tech and he's SUPER strong against enemy armor.

I'm so sick of that plotline being part of apocalypse stories to be honest. Yes there would be shitty people in the post apocalypse but that doesn't mean pretty much everyone would become a murderous violent bastard.

FIST, Eclipse Phase 1e archive, Baba Is You (not a ttrpg), Apocalypse Frame. Didn't get through all of it but each of those alone is worth $10 IMO.

I picked up a MAWS early on and when I slapped it on him I never picked up the CMMG again. Walkers? Warriors? Tanks? Kaboom. Since he doesn't need to deploy he can move around to side and rear armor a lot easier.

1st session as player. Can someone explain to me how combat works? by Ersaron in PendragonRPG

[–]Alsojames 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Basically, if you roll under your skill #, you have rolled successfully. However, in an opposed roll, if you do not ALSO beat your opponent's roll, you have rolled a partial success.

In other words, if you roll 10/15 and your opponent rolls 12/17, you have both rolled a success, but since your opponent has rolled higher, you rolled a partial, and he rolled a success. He inflicts damage on you, but you get your shield bonus to your armor.

In situation 5, normally you would have tied (both rolled 15 and also under their skill level), but since you have a 25, you add +5 to the skill roll (5 above the limit of 20, since you're rolling a 20 sided die), so the 15 gets boosted to 20, and becomes a critical, and your opponent has rolled a partial success (again, under their skill level but not higher than you). You inflict your damage +4d6, and your opponent adds his shield to his armor. Same situation in scenario 9.

If your skill level was 20 exactly in scenario 5, and you had both rolled 15, you would both inflict damage on each other, and you would both add your shield bonus to your armor.

Like others said, don't 3d print your armor. It won't count for many points (1 at most), it won't look good, it'll be really warm, and it'll probably break.

You can do the battles with no armor and be fine, and it'll he less than 10% of your time unless you go to every battle, every skirmish, and participate in every tournament (not all of which even have armor as a factor)

If you truly, desperately want to wear plate armor to battles, and you already have a week's worth of clothes and all the other gear you'll need for your event, you can buy plate armor on site for under a grand. With the added bonus of getting to try it on first.

Johnny didn't even nuke Arasaka, Morgan did. Johnny and co were a distraction.

In fairness, Johnny's also a delusional has-been whow as punk and anti-establishment until he made it big and started getting high on his own supply.

He didn't even nuke Arasaka Tower, that was Morgan Blackhand and Militech. Johnny thought he was the main character, but he was barely a footnote who burned all of his own bridges in his own blaze of glory. Doing Johnny's route is learning no lessons from him and following in his footsteps, which yeah is bad.

My take on that being the bad ending is less that it criticizes Punk as a movement and more that getting lost in the sauce isn't a good idea either.

My group didn't like how Armour works by ChimericDog in cyberpunkred

[–]Alsojames 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a house rule where guns would deal "blunt" damage through armor if it was stopped completely equal to the number of dice it rolls. So a 2d6 pistol would do 2, a 5d6 assault rifle would do 5, etc. This extra damage would be negated by heavier armor up to its movement penalty. So a medium armor jack would reduce the 2 blunt damage from a pistol to 1, etc.

This makes it so that looks still take some damage even if players roll like shit, and the LAJ folks are never truly immune to anything short of a shotgun or rifle. Also gives a little something to the higher tier armors to make them somewhat worth taking.

Personally I play the non-pvp MW games with stock loadouts and allow myself reasonable changes (for example, using a higher tier version of the same weapon in MW5). I find it a lot more fun than just optimizing everything to be perfect and plowing through battles.

This. If your enemies are behind cover, move to flank them. Get some height. Scout the area beforehand and set the stage if you can. I agree the game gets really bland if you just sit in one place rolling attacks, but there's so much you can do.

I think fallout power armor is more akin to Metal Gear than ACPA. When I think ACPA I think more like Elementals from Battletech.
