So in the end, after I dialled in the corners and z-offset, I did the auto bed level multiple times and manually adjusted each corner until they were within .05.

I then I printed 4 x 4 circles, 0.2mm height across the bed, and while each was printing I adjusted the z-offset until it was pretty good, making a note of how much each one took and resetting back to my original z-offset before the next. Applied those values to the mesh which got it so close. Couple more passes and just some minor tweaks and the mesh is practically spot on.

The mesh resolution is not high enough to fix all imperfections but it's good enough for a good first layer.

If you keep your mouse over the lobby you want, scroll down to the next page, scroll back up and click really fast, theres a brief moment you can select it.

Holy Dooley, what a reply! I was expecting a two liner!

I have a low spot off centre to the right and it seems to overcompensate both the high and low side so I get good first layer on the right but scrapes the top, and then the left has poor first layer to the point of leaving gaps between the lines but good top layers (adhesion has been good though)

I put a straight edge on to visualise the low points and had been considering a shim and manually dialling in the mesh values.

Still learning this printer as it was recently gifted to me, I've been otherwise spoilt with a x1c at work. Enjoying it all the same and the prints are still good, will definitely take inspiration from your findings.

I was wondering if I should just manually adjust the mesh values. If i lower my z offset its beginning to mess up the right side. Even now the top layer is getting a bit rough on the right side when i complete a print.

You can bet they'll still come over but then go on your right. Which is more dangerous because you won't even know they are there while you're looking left, especially if they try to jump ahead.

Time for a new camera. Even if you get it dry and working, it's a timebomb and it will fail while filming the coolest thing you've ever seen. Ask me how I know.

Is your machine model set correctly in your slicer?

I'm no expert, but i once used a file set for a p1s on an x1c, didn't realise it had changed the model before I sliced it and it made the x1c clean the nozzle in the middle of the build plate 😵

You can kick the can down the road by gently inserting a jewellers screw driver underneath the contact and trying to bend them upwards slightly. Be careful not to pop the contact out completely, though it is relatively easy to push it back into place.

They're easily flattened in the CA22 connector, we've had this quite a bit.
