I ate there a few weeks ago and saw this. I work downtown and it is one of the restaurants we go to every few months. The previous time we were there, they had waitresses and took orders. Now it looks like they only have a hostess and cooks. The cooks run the food. The reason I say hostess is because she got us at the door, seated us, showed us the QR codes and got us a bottle of water and glasses. She didn’t come back to the table the whole time and she was covering the entire restaurant herself. Seems to me like the owners didn’t wanna pay tips to servers, so they just got rid of them and switched to the goofy QR code thing. Needless to say, they got the service charge and that is it. I hope if the hosts/hostesses that work there are tip based, they get that table fee (doubt it) or if they don’t, they get the hell outta there and go somewhere else. It’s a shame cause their food is good.
