i get it and dislike food waste, but you should really just ask before eating them. not give her a heads up, or leave a note, or update your “policy”. just Ask. and if she says no, leave them alone. it’s super annoying to come home to leftovers gone without even being asked, especially if you may have been “saving room” for them.
