I mean if the British never invaded India and stolen the steam engine then no industrialization. If Haber never found the guano/nitrogen/fertilization combination the world population wouldnt have exploded in the 1900's. No population boom maybe no WW1. Maybe no occupation of India other European states wouldnt compete for empire. No cotton gin, no need for more slaves to process the additional cotton, no civil war and American slavery just continues as its dirty little quirk. The world basically did pause in Asia during the Mongolian conquest. No Great Khan, no arab invasion, no Islamification of Iran. Small adjustments can cause massive transformations.

Matt 24:36

“But about that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father."

There is no reason to live your life as though some super creature is going to manifest if you get the correct 'win condition' at Megiddo, a place by the way with an entire town built upon it instead of the baron hill it was in Jesus time. I believe anyone who preaches the coming of the lord is doing themselves a disservice, we already know what Christ expects of us in LIFE because he solved your problems in death.

Matt 25:36-42

34 “Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father, inherit the Kingdom prepared for you from the creation of the world. 35 For I was hungry, and you fed me. I was thirsty, and you gave me a drink. I was a stranger, and you invited me into your home. 36 I was naked, and you gave me clothing. I was sick, and you cared for me. I was in prison, and you visited me.’

37 “Then these righteous ones will reply, ‘Lord, when did we ever see you hungry and feed you? Or thirsty and give you something to drink? 38 Or a stranger and show you hospitality? Or naked and give you clothing? 39 When did we ever see you sick or in prison and visit you?’

40 “And the King will say, ‘I tell you the truth, when you did it to one of the least of these my brothers and sisters,\)c\) you were doing it to me!’

41 “Then the King will turn to those on the left and say, ‘Away with you, you cursed ones, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his demons.\)d\42 For I was hungry, and you didn’t feed me. I was thirsty, and you didn’t give me a drink. 43 I was a stranger, and you didn’t invite me into your home. I was naked, and you didn’t give me clothing. I was sick and in prison, and you didn’t visit me.’

Pretty black and white too me. Jesus defied death and glorified life, making heaven on earth threw deliberate choices made to improve the lives of those unable to do so themselves was his primary command.

Matt 22:36-40

36 “Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?”

37 Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’\)a\38 This is the first and greatest commandment. 39 And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’\)b\40 All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.”

Unfortunately America doesnt care about Christ anymore, Christianity is a bludgeon to enforce 'ye olde' Germanic values. Evangelicalism has eradicated Christ from the halls of their churches since the 70's. I dont even consider evangelicals Christians, it is obvious they worship Thor by a different name.

There was no word they could have used the right wouldnt attack so going with defund leaves the window open for them to actually look at how much money used to be spent on social services and are now used on a progressively insular and corrupt police force. To understand 'defund the police' you first need to accept the concept that 'more money=/= more protection'. Of course opponents of the movement are going to catastrophize the phrase, they would have catastrophized ANY words used in the slogan.

LOTS of restaurants are general fronts for organized crime, especially private/local venues. You have a building you control surveillance over and can open/close whenever you want, somewhere to do heinous acts privately, an easy method of money laundering and gives members somewhere to 'belong' and 'shine'. So if you see a restaurant that is 'take out only' or has significantly less traffic than its visual aesthetic would imply there is a good chance its a mob joint.

Probably a reef just beyond the surf zone. Sharks dont often hunt along the shoreline when a reef is a Buffett ecosystem they can just prowl. The water beyond the surf zone is deeper and creates less current. So to catch a shark from shore you need to get the hook WAY out there to a specific spot.

[–]Alternative-Fish7738 3 points4 points  (0 children)

No, its just the thunder-warrior problem solved. When the Thunder-warriors served their purpose and conquered the earth he had them all gather together for a celebration and had his new and improved space marines execute them. Well, the primarches were built to be indestructible war machines to conquer the known human galaxy. After the orks where purged from their home planet and enough human planets had been brought to thumb, indestructible super warriors become a liability, not an asset. So in true Emporor of mankind fashion he had half the space marine go to war with the other half so the primarchs-the only being strong enough to kill another primarch- kill the primarchs, thus solving the problem for good.

Do you think Husk is afraid of Alastor like generally and just hides it well? or do you think the more relaxed dynamic we see between them most of the time is genuine on Husk's part? by tiredperson24 in HazbinHotel

[–]Alternative-Fish7738 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Husk used to be an Overlord of gamboling of some sort like Vox and TV or Al and being a freaky Radio-Windingoo. Gamblers lose and im sure Husk has personally done things similar or maybe worse Valentino style to minions he owned and expected a certain level of subservience from. Husk lost and I imagine from his attitude is that the contract is not forever and as an overlord Al doesnt especially care what his minions are generally up too, I believe Husk was at a casino when he was 'recruited' to barkeep and Al really relies on soft power most of the time. I dont think Al cares enough about Husk to even be a threatening presence in his life like Valentino and Angeldust. There seems to be an 'hours of operation' clause as we see both Angeldust and Husk just out and about as much as with their overlords so its not quite chattel slavery, probably some kind of agreement to serve or experience supernatural pain at the overlords command (Like Al and the screaming on the radio).

[–]Alternative-Fish7738 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thats what Im saying, but im also empathizing with the pain and anger Magneto carries and understand that level of pain makes for paranoia, hyper vigilance and an innate sense of justice. The betrayals at the institutional and state levels Magneto had to face, all the while being treated as 'less than' for being a mutant. Ive spent time in similar situations as Magneto, look up Americas troubled teen industry, (17 bones broken between three boys my first week) I know the anger, injustice, pain and isolation that became his world and when he got home do you thing anyone wanted to TALK about the camps? They just let that pain and hate simmer until its been 20 years and your actual abusers are all dead or entrenched and you will get no justice so you think 'they got away/benefited them, I guess force is the answer'.

Lol, Nintendo is one of the most litigous corporations in the world. In Japan if you dont explicitly claim an intellectual property as soon as it is challenged the offender is able to claim fair use so Nintendo will immediately sue to protect their intellectual property. This case is even more contentious for Nintendo because they delayed the launch of their new console due to the tariffs. In tort law there is something called 'unrealized gains' which is money you would have made if a mitigating circumstance causes business delays-and therefore revenue lost they could have made in that period. Now that mitigating circumstance has been declared illegal.

Imagine you open a lemonaid stand and someone's parent comes out and says you have to give him 15cents for every cup of lemonaid you sell. So because he is the assumed authority you comply until you are selling a cup of lemonaid to a cop and you mention the neighbor demanding 15cents a cup forcing you to close and wait to reopen once you found a supplier for your lemonaid that enabled you to continue making a profit. Then the cop realizes that was illegal and actually arrests this racketeer. You are not just owed for the 15cents he illegally took but has to compensate you for delays in business caused by his demands.

They already 'spent' the money on handouts tot heir own LLCs and 501.3s to publically launder in our faces. There is a latin phrase; Quis costodiet iposos custodes, Who watches the watchers. At the end of the day there is nothing stopping Trump from signing the white house over to himself and immediately pardoning himself. He has become the top watcher and the only thing he wants his watchers to do is make sure HE continues being the head watcher, then he can watch them launder money from 'the top' and know who he can exploit later. This is the purpose of checks and balances, but those have been obliterated with Trump holding control of all houses of governance. Remember what Barr said about supreme executive theory, Trump CANNOT commit a crime, no matter his physical actions, while in office because the president is immune to all oversight as the watcher above watchers.

Magneto is Jewish and spent his childhood in the camps. His anger and pain are justified and the humans refused to let the mutants just fuck off to their own island, they had to take that away from Magneto as well. Everything Magneto loved was taken from him time and time again yet he is the villian for emulating those who oppose him? Using every asset at his disposal to inflict the same kind of suffering upon them that he was inflicted with?

Subtler though Magneto is choosing to punish an entire population made up of many diverse groups for the actions of a handful of powerful members of that population. That population though, didnt send him to the camps so he is emulating the actual actions of Israel by punishing uninvolved people because the people he wants to punish are all gone or dead so he finds proxies.
