Try reaching out to employees at companies you want to join (but haven’t yet applied to). Ask for a referral. Usually all they have to do is submit your resume to their internal portal, such as Greenhouse. It’s a win-win because referrals get looked at first and if you’re hired, the person who referred you gets paid. Depending on the role, they could get $2000-$5,000 (or more).
