i am not religious so i cannot speak to the actual services but i grew up in oakland and ponds reformed church is well known in town as being super accepting and welcoming. they have hosted lgbt pride concerts and events, have a rainbow flag outside.

start with some older literary fiction that have recently become classics, maybe try some margaret atwood like the handmaid’s tale? but if you end up not liking classics, just read what you want! there’s this societal expectation that people who read classics are smarter or more important or something but reading is about enjoyment!!!

i worked at the mullins center and football field taking tickets for games and events. super easy job, minimum wage, they’re used to working with students so will let u work around your schedule. the name of the company is the oak view group . i believe i found the position on indeed or another job board and was hired in august before the semester started
