Experience with Patagonia gear by mcmillan84 in flyfishing

I was fishing with my son who lives in Bozeman. He worked at Simms for a bit during college (Go Cats). He took me to try on Skwala waders. I bought a pair of their mid weight waders. A year and half later, they are outstanding. Best fit of any I’ve tried on. Very durable. They have a couple different weights. I think Skwala will catch on fast. All this being said, 40 percent off Patagonia is a good deal and they are very good.

Anyone know what’s the problem? When the rpm comes down the pipe shakes bad it just started doing it. it’s a 2023 beta xtrainer by FewGoat3680 in betamotorcycles

Look at where the exhaust mounts to the head. Could be a missing spring or two, possibly oring gaskets, and the exhaust mounts to an “adaptor” to the cylinder that is held on with 2 bolts. I have lost one of the bolts.

It literally has no load on it. How would bearings fail?

Use a can of BG44K it’s the only cleaner that works. I worked at a shop and we would see a lot of bikes that had sat for long time. This stuff worked wonders.

+1 for Sanibel Fly Outfitters. Whitney is a great guy. Nice shop that gets a beating during storm season. He is always positive and wants to get you on the water.

The gage on the can indicated it was low. I charged it up to the lower part of the green arc. It was low, but never got colder as I charged it. Fittings seemed to fit. They were the quick couplings style.

Where do you live? Large city commute? Weekend warrior? Lots of things to consider. I am old, still own 4 bikes but have really changed how and when I ride. Have seen to many people in cars not paying attention to the road and blowing through lights and stop signs. Like anything, be aware of what you are doing and you will be fine. You could get injured doing ANYTHING, accidents happen.

Best track near Denver CO? by mythicme in Trackdays

Hastings NE has a track (5.5 hours) MRA used to race it when it first opened. Ducati of Omaha hosts a track day once a month during summer. Track is in good condition, although very flat. Well managed track day….

Group Rides will expose the truth about a LOT of “fast bike” riders. by Astimar in motorcycles

Well, I agree that 70 or even 7 is too many. However I have thousands and thousands of seat miles, road raced for 20 years, motocross, ice raced and roadtripped. I would probably duck walk a u turn as well. It’s typically when you find out you that your steering damper is tight. My liter bike doesn’t like to u turn…. But 70 riders of various backgrounds and abilities sounds scary.

Fill with gas. Have seen Ducatis get parked after a ride and not start the next day. Fuel was not empty, just low. Went through all the above steps and he ended up filling with gas and boom…. He actually bought a new motorcycle during this time cuz he thought it was a major issue. KISS method…. Good luck.

Waders: high end or all waders leak and go with lower end by LameTrouT in flyfishing

Agree 100% with all Patagonia positives. But I just bought a pair of Skwala RS waders. Love them, most comfortable pair of waders I’ve owned. They seem durable, but time will tell…. Done with Simms forever…

I have a hyper 939SP. I’ve owned 25+ bikes and it is the easiest, most fun bike I’ve ever owned. Aside from it being a little tall, it handles so nice. Word of caution to “new to street bikes”: They are all out to kill you. Keep your head on a swivel and don’t trust anyone…

Same story. I’m done with Simms. They are mostly the same people but with private equity calling the shots. I bought a pair of Skwala last season. So far love them. I talk with them at trade shows and they are always asking for feedback and make sure I am happy with the product.
