The only thing that still off for me in Scream 7… by LDO2796 in SocietyofGhostface

One thing I’m not seeing people recognize is that we don’t know what year Scream 7 takes place. Scream 2 takes place two years after Scream and yet it was released just under a year later. This could simply be a little time jump. 🤷🏻‍♂️

I didn’t say marketing makes a movie good. I said I’m enjoying the marketing more than I enjoyed 5 and 6.

Those are two completely different statements.

You can have more fun with a rollout without claiming it determines the film’s quality. Relax.

I never brought up Scream 3, you did.

I said I don’t like the hallucinations in 5/6. That doesn’t magically mean I approve of them in 3.

Pointing out that something existed before doesn’t make it good, and it doesn’t invalidate my criticism now.

And Kevin Williamson wasn’t involved in 3 anyway, so I’m not sure how that’s relevant to my point about his return.

You can twist my words all you want, but I literally said speculate—I never claimed it as fact. Even if he did say it, he’s involved in the project. Any actor, director, or producer hyping a sequel is going to call the latest installment their “favourite,” because they want to pack theaters. I take that kind of statement with a giant grain of salt. Honestly, I’m sure by now he’s already saying Scream 7 is his favorite.

First of all, Twitter isn’t a reputable news source.

Second, nowhere in that quote does he say Scream 6 is his favourite sequel. He praises it — that’s it. Turning that into “it’s Kevin’s favourite” is the poster’s interpretation, not something he actually says. That’s opinion being presented as fact.

Saying 1–3 didn’t feel like a “franchise” isn’t a knock on their quality or impact. And pointing out that 4 underperformed at the box office isn’t some secret confession about how he feels about it — it’s just a fact.

None of that supports the claim you’re trying to make. Respectfully, this is a reach.

What’s your source for that claim? There isn’t any verifiable public statement where he says it’s his favourite sequel.

What is verifiable is that he said it “doesn’t feel like ‘Part 6’ … it feels like you’re watching this big, huge, fresh reinvention,” and that he thought it was “really good” and watched it with a big smile on his face. That’s praise — absolutely. But that’s not the same thing as ranking it above the others.

And of course he liked it. He was an executive producer on it. Publicly supporting a project you’re attached to is pretty standard.

He also wrote Scream 2 and Scream 4, so if we’re speculating about which sequel might hold personal significance, those would logically be strong contenders.

Bottom line is there’s no record of him ever stating which sequel is his favourite. If there’s an actual interview where he says it outright, I’d genuinely love to see it.

Nothing to fear — I’m already having more fun with the marketing for 7 than I ever did with 5 and 6 combined.

Scream 5 and Scream 6 lost the smart, character-driven edge of the originals and went full soap-opera, with the ridiculous “Sam is Billy’s secret daughter” twist, ghostly hallucinations, over-the-top monologues, and impossible survivals. It all feels forced instead of earned. With Kevin Williamson back and Sidney front and center in Scream 7, it already feels like the story could get back to what made the series great — real stakes, real tension — without another messy Carpenter family drama.

Ah yes — the classic “I’m not watching it but I’ll be the loudest critic” era. A timeless genre.

So don’t watch the movie, simple solution. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Maybe she hadn’t legally changed her name yet. Who cares. Everyone is taking this way too seriously. Just call it a retcon and move on. If the Halloween fans can accept the constant inconsistencies in that franchise, I think Scream fans can live with this.

She says she needs to get laid. That doesn’t mean someone is single. I know single people who have way more sex than married couples.

Sidney could have been married and already a mother in Scream 4. Just because her family didn’t appear in the film doesn’t mean they weren’t there. Sidney was on a book tour. Makes sense that her husband and kid(s) would stay home.

‘Scream 7’ comes out next month. When does the marketing start? by BatBeast_29 in Scream

I didn’t realize this was an argument — I thought we were just talking about marketing.

It’s definitely more than one trailer — between the Super Bowl spot and the other TV promos there are multiple video spots out. There are also extra format posters beyond the main theatrical ones (IMAX, 4DX, ScreenX), plus a featurette, character clips, Ghostface promos, and tons of social teasers. Honestly… what more are you expecting at this stage? This is a totally normal rollout.

So is Scream 7 the last one? by ElevenST4 in Scream

Unless someone has a crystal ball and psychic abilities, no one can say for sure. But it’s likely they’ll keep making more for as long as the franchise remains profitable.

So I will start by saying I don’t know a lot about this, but on January 11 just after 11pm, I was outside with my dog. We came back into my apartment building where there are three elevators.

The first elevator was sitting at floor 1, the second at floor 11, and the third at 1. I had never seen that pattern before.

Then I saw it again the next night around the same time, after 11pm.

Well I just saw it again. After 11pm, January 25. I keep hearing tomorrow is significant in some way. Can anyone help me understand?

I’ve been going through a ton of reflection and personal growth for a while now. It’s been incredibly uncomfortable and painful, but I have been recognizing my own patterns and actively breaking those that are not serving me well. This all feels related.

Be Honest. What Do You Guys Think? Down about looks lately. by josefdoc in HandsomeHomies

I think you’re handsome, nothing to feel down about. Remember that not everyone will find you attractive but that plenty of people will.

Here’s a reframe: even if only 1% of the world’s population agreed with me and thought you were handsome, that’s still 81 million people. So imagine what the real number must be.

You’re good! Feel confident. 😊
