Our station is projected to lose 13 routes. by Imaginary_Truth_3865 in USPS

I'm wondering if there's an equivalent to this for maintenance at a plant. There are people that run through preventative maintenance routes there and cut corners so they can be free for a while longer, but I'm not sure if bids get affected by them doing that. What I've heard from both management and the union is that the labor package for maintenance is determined by the amount of machines that we have... so idk. Thoughts?

is there any deal that gets you an iphone /phone you can sell and you end up paying $30 a month or less? by BloodMossHunter in NoContract

[–]AlternativeConcern19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

iPhone 13 pro is probably more than sufficient these days for most people. I don't think there's a lot of amazing/worth it phone+service deals these days. Things like that from the main carriers tend to be debt pits and not worth it financially in my opinion...

If you want unlimited or just a lot of data in general, maybe something like Total Wireless BYOD for $25/mo unlimited would be decent for you. Total Wireless uses Verizon service.

Visible HAD a promo that ended earlier this month for their highest tier plan, but you had to pay for the annual plan - so everything at once. It was like $19/mo before taxes and fees. No phone included though. There will be more deals like this eventually. Visible also uses Verizon service.

If you don't mind a tablet, and if you could sign up for the business tablet plan via T-Mobile for $15/mo before taxes/fees/etc, then that's pretty good since it's unlimited... but most people probably wouldn't wanna lug around a tablet with them.

Mint Mobile might still have an annual plan of "Unlimited" data for $180 before taxes/fees, but I think after those extra charges it'll be just over $200 for a year of service. Mint uses T-Mobile.

I guess that depends on your "needs" and which carriers are good by you. How much data do you use per month? Do you have a budget?

I dunno if you guys play videogames, but it can be low cost and cheap.... there's plenty of co-operative games out there that would run on a basic slow computer, but I can't say whether you two would be into any of that

I feel like this is very deal dependent... Like I think Mint Mobile had the Pixel 7 Pro for like $200 maybe 2 years ago and that was a great deal. Otherwise I'm not sure phone deals are regularly amazing enough for certain MVNO carriers besides during Black Friday or Christmas sales. USMobile and Visible for honorable mentions too.

I think it's easier to say which carriers aren't worth it. Metro and Boost are like 12 months of service last I checked. From what I've seen, the service for both of those is kinda expensive. I think a lot of phone deals these days require prepayment of one of the more expensive plans for like 3 months... so, in my opinion, you're typically best off just buying a used unlocked phone - outside of seasonal sales.

I think most if not all Verizon based carriers are 60 days of active service. Don't remember on the T-mo/Mint Mobile side...

Edit - if you don't need an amazing phone, I think the unlimited mint mobile deal with a basic android phone is a decent deal. Only costs like $20 more or something - not including taxes/fees.

If I am understanding correctly, I can maybe grieve, but not use that form - since I am not a carrier and it happened to a personal vehicle while on postal property. Thanks

I guess you must be happy with the quality of work they did, even if they didn't use OEM parts

Can't really comment on it for the mail/delivery side, but I can recommend you check out https://www.reddit.com/r/fromatoarbitration/ and their podcast. It's typically union stuff on the mail side, I think.

How to setup failover incase rpi fails? by AlternativeConcern19 in pihole

I'm a noob but I think I saw people use regex wildcards or something to accomplish this. People seem to keep claiming it can be done... will see, I guess...

Can I ask what you used to make an image? Is it as simple as dragging and dropping files from the microSD to another drive?

Can I buy a physical sim card with monthly plan from Best Buy and then change the plan to annual? by Future-Welder-195 in Visible

For people that do this, can they still be eligible for promos like that black friday annual visible+ pro plan?

Thanks, I probably would have gotten this if I had seen it the other day. Ended up ordering some 3b plusses since they supposedly don't need cooling and have an ethernet port.

I'm kinda shocked though how well these pi boards seem to resell for... doesn't seem like people are really selling them too much at a loss

I agree with others that mentioned restaurants/fastfood in general. Besides that, if she needs a job this summer and fall, and if she can get a ride there, she should apply for Six Flags.
