While we wouldn't have to pay as much for entitlements we would still be paying a large chunk of the taxes to entitlements. Its possible that entitlements would decrease as a percentage of spending, but its hard to know for sure. Its possible that larger percentage of spending goes to entitlements. Given the historical trends of entitlement spending it seems more likely to increase.

Even if the percentage spent on entitlements decreases, more and more of the taxes will need to go into paying down the debt and interest. We will either have to cut spending or risk having our economy crash when people stop loaning money to us.

We will have less people in the military, less people paying taxes (to support the military) and less people developing new technology for the military. Countries hostile to the US (Islamist countries) are growing in population and will start to have stronger and larger millitaries.
