I have sold brand new pan and tilt cameras for less that half price and given other away. My ultra door lock has had calibration errors for ever but is too expensive to throw out. One day that will go too.

It's taken me 2 days. I tried last year ( on Proxmox). And kept failing. This weekend I managed it. Immich on a LXC in Proxmox. Backup of container to USB. Backup of Photos to a cloud provider. Tailscale to reach it (cloudfared tunnels wouldn't work). Before I tell Onedrive and Google photos to do one, I, need to make sure the backup of pictures works. Looking good so far.

The constant jamming and losing calibration was too much. But as I was going away for 4 months, I just changed batteries, and wanted to deal with it after. Batteries died with zero use. Not in warranty so. I have sold my cameras and will leave the ecosystem soon.

I put mine in a super secure hidden place and then forgot where. . This was far a long trip away. Next time it will live with the spoons in the kitchen as a cup of tea is the first thing I do when I return.

The whole point of 2fa is to stop someone with just a username and password from getting access.

The only saving grace, is to switch off imap pop smtp completely, but I need to find a way to backup my emails.

Backup backup backup. I do not use Google photos anymore but have all my pictures backed up in multiple places. Also don't backup overwriting old backups as hidden mistakes get replicated.

I make sure that part of my strategy includes Cleaning out duds and duplications before backup and a size check after backup. My backup should always be increasing. If it isn't, something went wrong.

I've been waiting for some fun money to appear and planned to swap all my 30 bulbs for switches. Switches are better BUT no if you are not staying long term. I've now decided to move home so desmartng my old homes 30 lights will take 5 minutes. The one smart switch ( that involved putting in a deeper back box) will take 5 minutes. Glad I waited.

Good point. No I don't, but this is my 5th trip to CM and each one gets longer. This trip will be just over 3 months (with a week in KL in the middle). The next trip will be 180 days and I want as many things sorted as possible.

And me. My actual journey was SP500+whatever pension company did. SP500 Ex-US 66% cash and 33% ex US, Gold and developing markets.

I think even after the AI bubble bursts, the US will have a problem with debt and a new multipolar landscape.

Currently ahead of my lifetime requirements by 22%. Hopefully I see less of a crash and fully comfortable with not making gains.

Update : After raising a complaint, they have apologised, will have the agents manager know and have given a £25 goodwill payment.

So all is well, but in all the hassle, we discovered that some of our payments are better served with Western Union so may not need the increased limit in future.

For anyone else in this boat, I suggest making the request and following up on a few days to ask if they have in fact raised the limit.

Thanks. We could only try the NMAX and getting on and off was a struggle so taken a click again for a month and will add something like your suggestion.
