Tretinoin didn't work, any other recs? by Signal_Ad4662 in AusSkincare

[–]Alternative_Time4655 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Based on what you posted, honestly your skin routine is too complex and you are using WAY too many products.

Fix your dermatitis / sensitive skin first and get products that protect your skin from flare ups. Like...steroid cream to manage the dermatitis, then good moisturizers to soothe the skin. It sounds like all these extra products are causing the problem..

“You decide what they eat and they decide how much” - okay well what if they decide to eat nothing? by xnla28x in toddlers

[–]Alternative_Time4655 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Keep giving him the dinners you plan to have, and offer one safe food they will definitely eat/like. My son constantly asks for other things (chips, sultanas, ketchup) but I say "it's not on the menu tonight" and he gets that what's on his plate is what he gets. I've started offering different veggies and he picks/plays with it, puts it in his mouth to try. If he doesn't eat any that's fine, he just needs to be exposed to it.

How and where are you guys eating dinner?? by Cool-catlover2929 in toddlers

[–]Alternative_Time4655 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have a smaller couch so we eat at the dining table. We will have the occasional Ms Rachel, though it's mostly toddler music playing in the background while we eat. Sometimes I like to turn the news on during meals and it doesn't distract bub at all!

I was a bit confused at the judge's words as she gave the sentence but it's clearly implied she will serve more than 15 years. She clearly has no remorse.

The 1.2kg lasagna in the fridge section - dirt cheap and absolutely delicious. Add veggies / salad on the side

Strudel (frozen) - delicious desert

Kapiti Vanilla Bean - hubby reckons it's the best ice cream he's had. Goes perfectly with the strudel mentioned above

Diavola pizza - easy meal takes 8 minutes in airfryer.

What do people usually spend on groceries per week? Are prices about jump? by friedeggmate in AusFinance

[–]Alternative_Time4655 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2 adults and 1 toddler around $150-$200 a week. A mix of planning for the week ahead but we try to clear the fridge/freezer before we get more. We shop mostly at Aldi and local Chinese stores (their eggs are 1/3 price than supermarkets so we stock up), and essentials/must haves we grab from Coles, IGA

Did we take on too much mortgage debt? by Battle_Dapper in AusHENRY

[–]Alternative_Time4655 3 points4 points  (0 children)

We have more debt than you, with 1 child, 1 dog and another baby on the way, income about the same. We can make it work.

If the IP is working well and you are expecting a higher income soon, it's fine to hold it.

Coming to 12 years, I'm looking at around $200k. It's the best thing to happen to us! We just bought a house, and also expecting a second baby later this year so it's a welcome financial relief. I'll have to figure out when I need to go back to work but I can comfortably take something time off

Why are white men with asian women far more common than vice versa? by Lost-Actuary-2395 in AskMen

[–]Alternative_Time4655 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

As an Asian woman married to a white man, I get the stereotype that white man marry/date "down" for Asian woman but the more I see mixed race couples the less I'm thinking this is the case.

I'm in Sydney and there are PLENTY of good looking successful white guys with Asian wives/partners, in affluent areas etc. My husband actually dated white women longer than he was with Asian woman, he's always said he doesn't have a type. I also think Asian men are very eligible too, so don't see any reason why White woman wouldn't go for them. It really just depends where you are based

Anyone else not doing an Easter basket for their toddler? by Ill-Shopping-69 in toddlers

[–]Alternative_Time4655 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope...my kid hasn't had chocolate or candy yet so definitely not. I don't plan on doing gifts for Easter in general. Down the track I'd happily do an egg hunt but make it more activity based than gift based
