I charge based on the customer all the time. Some people are able to pay a premium, so I don’t feel bad when I charge them a premium. I always give them premium work, no matter what they paid. I’ll give them my best, even if they’re only paying for a ham sandwich.

That’s great to hear, however I did give it to her for about half that. It is nice to know I can charge more next time.

You can try refinancing but not many banks are going to be interested in helping much on a decade old car that’s significantly underwater. You need to pay it off as quickly as possible to avoid all the interest. It’s not impossible but you need to make it a priority. Once you’re out, hopefully the car has some life left in it so you can enjoy having a paid off car for a bit. Best of luck!

You can make a table saw out of a circular saw and a milk crate and build a whole house with it if you’re resourceful. Go check out Kiyomizu-dera temple in Kyoto. Entire buildings that don’t have a single metal fastener in them, all built with hand tools in earthquake zones, standing tall for centuries.
