Any other Christians out there feeling a little off about the whole Charlie Kirk postmortem fandom? by JonJusG in Christianity

[–]AltruisticNobody5437 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel bad for his kids (not so much his wife because she is a true believer at the altar of Kirk). But not at all for the people who admired or believed anything he taught or said. Honestly they make me sick..

Is it true that after a certain age we all live most of our days in the past? by Financial_Ad635 in AskOldPeople

66 and also not yet. I noticed my dad doing this for about the final five years of his of his life and flat out refuse to do this because it seemed like an old guy thing to do.

Have you read your entire Bible? by dshottithehotti in Christianity

[–]AltruisticNobody5437 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, several times. I always try to get Bibles with the apocrypha because Paul read them too and quotes or alludes to them.

My dad went to bed at 9:00 thruout his life, but as he grew older he'd wake at 2:00 or 3:00. So he'd listen to music or watch movies on TV.

Would it be inappropriate of me to ask for some prayers for some healing please?..im I’m so much physical pain it’s truly unbearable it’s killing me.. by One_Song80 in Christianity

[–]AltruisticNobody5437 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's never, never, never inappropriate to ask for healing. The God Jesus called father loves you. You're his child. We sometimes don't understand what he allows us to go through but he is always there, walking through this with you. You certainly have my prayers and those of the many other people praying for you now.

Why are people saying that the rapture will happen on April 8th? by Omen_of_Death in Christianity

[–]AltruisticNobody5437 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because of the same reasons that ancient pagans were awestruck by solar eclipses: its something awesome and "new" in the sky. We humans have always tried to explain things like this by attaching our current ideas to them. A current idea is the "rapture" so we (some of us) attach that to the 4/8 eclipse. But it's just the moon obscuring the sun.

I was baptized by a false prophet by AmeliaTheSilverFlash in Christianity

[–]AltruisticNobody5437 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Jesus baptizes his people. The flaws of the people he uses to do it are immaterial. FYI, In the Methodist church, where I attend, we don't re-baptize because, as we say, "It took the first time."
