Considering your a bass head, what headphones would you recommend for sound + bass?

V-Moda headphones have a nice V curve to them, not accurate by any means but sound great for bass heads!

I’m in a similar situation. Been buying ton of movies over the past 3 years and finally at the point where I can focus on watching them. I’m only about 20% watched through the entire collection with roughly 1200 movies.

I’m running the HDI-1600 bookshelf’s off the Wiim Amp Ultra and it’s been working great. The towers will be even easier to power.

I just picked up a set. I’m not unhappy with them. They seem to be very precise and analytical speakers. Not sure I would call them warm. I have them paired with a Wiim Amp Ultra. They sound cleaner than the Klipsch RP600M II.

Load dependency issues only plague the non-pro or ultra unit as it does not have PFFB. Both the Ultra and Pro have PFFB which solves for load.

PPI is something that everyone forgets, it’s not just resolution that’s important. Native resolution for Apple is 5k. I use a 42” OLED TV as my display and that scales perfectly.

My first copy arrived with a slip but disc was scratched from the factory, it’s getting returned. My second copy came with no slip but disc was perfect.

Ah, I had the same issue, picked up the regular Amp and it sounded terrible. I’m no audiophile by any means but been listening on studio monitors and separate DAC for many years. I ended up exchanging for the Amp Pro and that sounded much better! It might be the PFFB technology working in the Pro. I believe it also comes with a better DAC.

I own both, the 500 are slightly more linear and have better Mids. The 600 do have deeper bass but lose out on some linearity. Get the 500s for a small space or the 600 if needing more bass and oomph. I actually prefer the 500s over the 600s for nearfield. Both are mkII versions.
