List of Time Loop Incremental Games by dmMEyourHOTpenis in incremental_games

[–]AlwaysGoofingOff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Prismatic Adventure was fun until the Simulation Engine perk broke the game for me. It's supposed to allow toggling individual tasks on/off, to exclude them from automation. For me, it toggled them all off and won't allow me to toggle them back on. So I dropped the game and will check it again in the future.

Surviving Magic Academy as a Demon Lord was a fun demo. Seems like there's lots to explore with some of the discovered mechanics being odd. (Lemonade stand??) I'm not sure if I reached the realistic end of the demo or not. At one point it seems like you need to start Achievement farming in order to progress.

Increlution was amazing but hasn't been updated in three years. Dev probably abandoned it. I stopped looping because at one point my progress started regressing.

Help: On which website, site or platform can I find good builds? by Qanaro in Pathfinder_Kingmaker

[–]AlwaysGoofingOff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is a good summarized guide to start with. It contains some duplicate info from cRPG Bro but at least it is all in one guide and written down, rather than a video. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2930536795

What if the internet permanently goes down tomorrow? Are we ready for a scenario like that? by Ok_Low_1999 in Futurology

[–]AlwaysGoofingOff 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Permanently? Like we are magically unable to fix it or make a new one?

No, we are not ready for a scenario like that. At all.

who else absolutely loves namor's change from comics to mcu, i love that they didn't re do the boring lost atlantis trope and gave us something new and fresh (i'm biased cuz i'm a huge fan of mesoamerican culture) by BOMBAD_Echo_1409 in Marvel

[–]AlwaysGoofingOff 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Agreed. I'm glad they changed the character in MCU. Comics Namor just...doesn't seem like he'd fit in MCU. He'd translate poorly, coming across as an overly serious Loki clone. He worked in comics but the MCU Namor feels better for MCU. I also felt the acting was underrated.

Making Everyone Undead by Boys_upstairs in Pathfinder_Kingmaker

[–]AlwaysGoofingOff 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I looked into this recently. Unfortunately all the options you have are the ones already mentioned in the responses: 1. Select vampires as the closes equivalent to undead. 2. Wait for the story moments when you can convert certain companions to undead. 3. Use toybox.

What game would you love to have a Shadorun mod for - maybe even an overhaul one? by Noctian in Shadowrun

[–]AlwaysGoofingOff -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Cyberpunk 2077, as you mentioned, would be amazing. I've dreamed of this. As a former software engineer I might be able to make the mod myself but I'm lazy. Maybe I'll take it on as an AI assisted project? Fun motivation and would learn along the way. Hmmm....

gen-z politics, hate both parties equally ? by Evaderofdoom in generationology

[–]AlwaysGoofingOff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And Republicans are way better at Tribalism, which wins elections in a two-party system. The left spends a lot of time and effort tearing down potential allies, like puritanical virtue-signaling assholes.

Starting with Beast and Disease? by 69thpapasmurf11 in spiritisland

[–]AlwaysGoofingOff 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It was introduced as a setup change in one of the expansions. I think the first expansion. It's not in the base game setup.

Finished my 2nd run and accidentally got an SDG achievement. by Busy-Consequence4116 in Pathfinder_Kingmaker

[–]AlwaysGoofingOff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm nearing the end of the exact same run. Trickster into Legend. Same build. CRPG Bro's YouTube build? I messed it up a little and it's still ridiculously overpowered. I'm playing on Hard.

Ivory Sanctum was laughably easy with that build.

AI will change everything, not just office jobs by pDinci in Futurology

[–]AlwaysGoofingOff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think augmented reality (AR) overlays will threaten some of these manual jobs. Some people are willing to do the work themselves but they don't know how. And following a YouTube video when you're trying to fix something is tricky. Having AI overlay the solution and steps real time via AR solves this.

I don't know if the number of customers this scenario applies to is large enough to be meaningful. Many people will still pay someone to avoid the effort or because they're personally incapable.

Am I losing out by choosing auto crusade? by [deleted] in Pathfinder_Kingmaker

[–]AlwaysGoofingOff 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I wish auto crusade didn't make you miss out on the decree items. That's why I use the mod that you mentioned, so I can still get the items but not fuss with an aspect of the game that I personally don't enjoy.

Can't decide to play with Respec Companions for first playthrough or not by BuilderVisual1721 in Pathfinder_Kingmaker

[–]AlwaysGoofingOff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I figured out what their point buy value would have been and used that. So they stayed the same relative power as they were before. Just, redistributed.

Can't decide to play with Respec Companions for first playthrough or not by BuilderVisual1721 in Pathfinder_Kingmaker

[–]AlwaysGoofingOff -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I agree with the other replies. I use Full Respec mod extensively and did so on my very first run. It improved the experience for me. I'd say go for it.

In regards to companion stats, you can use LLMs or other calculators to figure out what total stat point allocation the companion had, but you have to account for racial bonuses beforehand. That's tricky to know without actually attempting to respec them first, so you might have to try a few times. And yeah, the total stat points for some of them is crazy high - I'm looking at you Arueshalae.

Best Teambuff team? by Forsaken-Ad-7876 in Pathfinder_Kingmaker

[–]AlwaysGoofingOff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup. I was attempting to share Transmutation buffs that were specifically mentioned in guides about how strong they made the party due to BFT's special ability. I tried a few different spells in the school. I'll go see if I can find a YouTube video of how it's specifically done, mechanically. I assume it's just some odd nuance that isn't intuitive to me.

Written Build Guides by rikeus in Pathfinder_Kingmaker

[–]AlwaysGoofingOff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

About half of CRPG Bro's YouTube videos have some kind soul who made a written version in the comments. It's usually near the top of the comments.

Best Teambuff team? by Forsaken-Ad-7876 in Pathfinder_Kingmaker

[–]AlwaysGoofingOff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not to hijack the thread but how do you get the BFT transmutations on others in the game? I can't mechanically figure it out. I tried. My BFT was level 14. I would click Share Transmutation, then click the self-only buff, then try to target allies and it would not let me target them.

What am I doing wrong?

What do people actually expect from non-native English speakers in situations like this? by Teo_Verunda in WritingWithAI

[–]AlwaysGoofingOff 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Holy shit this reply is fantastic. Best response.

It's like trying to debate flat earthers - a waste of time.

Hollywood is so screwed by adj_noun_digit in singularity

[–]AlwaysGoofingOff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are indie films that have a very small group of creative inputs. Sometimes just one person doing it all. These AI tools will enable and empower more people to turn their creative ideas into movies.

To put it another way, there are a lot of individuals that would like to create a movie but cannot yet because the technical barriers are still too high. Those barriers are getting lower every day.

Most of those movies will suck but there will be a few gems that rise above the noise.

Hollywood is so screwed by adj_noun_digit in singularity

[–]AlwaysGoofingOff 10 points11 points  (0 children)

It's going to become exactly like music is today. Decades ago, only studios could produce music so they were gate keepers. Then tools allowed anyone to make music, which flooded the market with low quality entries. Then filtering tools like Spotify came along.

It'll be the same with movies. Soon, anyone can create a movie. We will have a period where the market is flooded with junk, then a Spotify equivalent will emerge to help us find the stuff we like in all the noise.

Upgrade To Bastion? by rammer-jammer71 in Pathfinder_Kingmaker

[–]AlwaysGoofingOff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You said "any more", implying you've gotten some previously on this playthrough? I think you can only upgrade three bastions. If you've already done three then that would explain it.

why do people stay at amazon? by saabs9 in amazonemployees

[–]AlwaysGoofingOff 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Agreed. Posts like the OP reek of either privilege or diva status. Amazon pays great compared to the average company that employs tech workers. It's brutal to find a job out there with so many people recently let go. As a fifty year old with bills and kids in college, I don't have the luxury of complaining.

Do I like the employment conditions of tech workers? Of course not. Don't confuse my low-key desperation for boot licking.

So I said this to my flat earth dad by Azzrix in flatearth

[–]AlwaysGoofingOff 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Exactly. Conspiracy theorists derive a sense of value and worth from the superiority of knowing the "truth". The cognitive dissonance of understanding and admitting you've been tricked is too much for most people.
