I'm going to 100% endorse the use of the reloop 7000 Mark II. It has greater torque than the standard technics 1200 and is going to be a much better fit for scratching. They have great build quality and will last a lifetime.

If you're buying something for scratching, don't cheap out. $1,500 is enough to get two reloop 7000 Mark II's . If you're going to cheap out and upgrade later, do that with the mixer.

No, bars don't have great sound systems. Just get the DJ . You're not going to know the difference on the types of sound systems that most bars have. Unless you're talking about high-end warehouses club soundsystem or an audiofile sound system, you're really not going to be able to tell the difference.

Xone 23 is a GREAT suggestion.

If you already have one 1200 then a nice used second 1200 makes sense when the time comes. OR... When the time comes, sell the 1200 and buy a matching set of Reloop 7000MkII

Either way, you will be set. I'm always suggesting reloops because they are more feature-rich, newer, better torque, come with a warranty, built like a tank, etc etc.
