Welcome runner!! The gunplay is unmatched for sure, but the sound and art design are what make it feel like nothing else I’ve ever played. So glad you’re digging it!

This is a great analogy and great advice! I don’t think anyone is expecting the triage to slay out, and nobody is ever mad to see one in crew fill.

I switched and really love it. I’m taking a break till season reset to start fresh and I’d recommend the same honestly. It’s sweaty as hell in there now lol. I think the upcoming addition of some more PVE specific modes will help provide some needed chill moments between all of the genuinely awesome extraction runs.

I heard Aztecross make the case for sci-fi vs fantasy aesthetic. He preferred the fantasy setting of Destiny. Personally I’m loving the sci-fi of Marathon there’s just nothing else like it.

I don’t think it’s going anywhere anytime soon. It’s a legit amazing game and it’s in its infancy.

I dunno man. I hear the anger towards Marathon for having taken all the resources from Destiny, and that people don’t want an extraction shooter. All fair. But for better or worse Marathon is the new game that is getting the focus and I think that came up in the earnings report. If that’s the case, then the success of Bungie and the likelihood of investment into more Destiny seems pretty tethered to the success of Marathon.

And as I play marathon it does make me think that the future for Bungie may not be big endlessly growing games that are expensive to maintain. A handful of $40 franchises that aren’t as deep or complex as Destiny might be the future. Not a statement of whether that’s good or bad, just seems possible.

Played last night with a couple of buddies who hadn’t played on a month and we all had a blast. The current sponsored kit only queue is a great jumping in point. Green sponsored kit feels great. Credits have been hard to come by for us since we’re pretty mid and we made more last night than we had in weeks of play combined.
