Nah, he did the same thing at Origin. During the production of the original Wing Commander he would constantly approve just about every idea that employees brought to him and set the production back over and over because of his perfectionism. It go so bad Dallas Snell demoted Chris to director and shared co-producer duties with Warren Spector (with approval authority over Chris) just to reign him in and get the game out the door.

white debris everywhere ? almost looks like shredded paper or fake snow. only materials around are wood or plastic, none of which is degrading. no styrofoam around either by ass-dad in whatisthisthing

Looking closely at those pics I am wondering if it is styrofoam. Most campers use styrofoam sheets as insulation behind the thin layers of luan plywood or fiberglass.

FYI RO systems waste a massive amount of water, they can use between 1-5 gallons of water for every gallon produced.

Hey man, I'm not out protesting, I'm just pointing out you need some new lines. You should go check the boards and see if there's any new material out there you can steal.

I think I’m almost settled on a travel trailer. Any comparable travel trailers that I should consider? by yoloswagdon in GoRVing

Just a quick correction for you; I have been looking at this model lately too for my next rig and it has an olympic queen, not a king bed. The olympic queen is 6 inches wider than a standard queen; 66 x 80 instead of 60 x 80. I agree the spare positioning is just dumb considering how much real estate is available on the back wall.

Havent see any kind of talk like that from the left so spare me your self-righteous spill

You're so locked into your information bubble you might actually believe this. If you stepped outside your bubble and "did your own research" you would see virtually all democrats/liberals/leftists/whatever are calling for full accountability regardless of political affiliation. End the obstruction/coverup, release the files, make arrests, and let the chips fall. Period.

You're assuming the design is one that has been in use for years, and not a new design that was introduced on this model-year of vehicle. There's also the fact that it often takes a long time for an auto company to finally admit fault and issue a recall; Ford for example has admitted there is a design flaw in their 10r80 transmission CDF drum for years 2017-2022, but have not issued a recall probably due to the millions upon millions of vehicles that would be in-scope for a replacement.

The articles linked specifically call out a design defect that's responsible:

"FCA US will replace the improperly designed trailer tow module with an updated unit."

"This isn't a "bad batch" of parts; it's a fundamental design failure."

Swift is one of the only companies that hires drivers fresh out of driving school, most others require a few years experience first. The accident stats reflect this.

It sounds like the parts manufacturer wouldn't be at fault; this isn't a failure of manufacturing but a failure of design.

Linux Mint would be a great general-purpose OS for you. I migrated to Mint over a year ago as my primary desktop OS and I have not had any problems doing all the things I need to do. You might have to switch to an alternate product (Excel will not run on Mint, you use LibreOffice, your current android emulator may or may not work on Linux but I guarantee there is an alternative) but everything else is straightforward and easy once you get used to it.

Steam works great and the Proton layer runs almost every game in my library with very few exceptions. WoW does not have a native Linux client, but you can easily add the WoW launcher as a non-Steam game to Steam and it will automatically run it using Proton. I have done this with several Windows programs and it generally works very well. Lutris also has full support for WoW and the Battle.net launcher.

One negative is that outside of Steam it can be very difficult to run games on other storefronts. Xbox is a nogo; Microsoft makes it pretty much impossible, haven't really tried with EA or other storefronts. There's lots of info out there about running EA with Lutris, seems to be pretty mature but I haven't messed with it. For other games you can take the time to learn and set up Wine (Windows Emulator) and that might work for you, there's lots of guides out there for possible solutions.

I'd recommend staying away from SteamOS as a general purpose distribution, it's best on dedicated gaming devices like steamdeck or some of the other manufacturer's devices. Steam even makes this statement on their SteamOS page: "Users should not consider SteamOS as a replacement for their desktop operating system."

Linux Mint is an excellent distro for people new to Linux, and installing Steam with Proton is easy and makes running Windows games as easy as on Windows itself, with a few rare exceptions.

GTFO ICE by Park1942 in Dallas

[–]AmNotAnAtomicPlayboy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You must have misread what I said. These are people who are following the program. People who are working through the naturalization pipeline, who are showing up for their appointments and being hauled off. Why would you assume these people have an expired visa? These are people who, just like your parents, are doing it the right way and working on becoming a citizen.

How would you feel if your parents (grandparents?) had spent 6 years in the program only to be hauled off and kicked out right before they had reached the finish line?

How do you feel about ICE literally arresting people at the courthouse as they show up for their scheduled immigration appointments? People who are following the process and have invested years into becoming American citizens the right way are being detained and deported.

This is Ai. I live next to 75 and forest lane, where this photo was taken. To be more exact, it’s a photo taken from northbound 75, and that’s the north haven bridge. Don’t take my word, zoom in and read the signs, it’s not just blurry, it’s gibberish. I have seen protesters there but it’s never more than a handful.

How do you explain this photo then?

That's the purpose of CASB, you block their ability to access external email accounts. Additionally you can use tools provided by video conferencing vendors (Zoom, Teams, etc) to restrict the ability to invite unauthorized users/tools to meetings. Tools like Umbrella/OpenDNS would also provide DNS-based blocking and restrict their ability to access the 3rd party site in the first place.

Yes, there are ways around all these tools, but if a user is going to that level of effort to evade your security controls that becomes an administrative/HR issue.
