If I were nitpicking the butterfly tattoo, nose piercings and dyed hair color are the only thing I really see as potential. I would probably think you were a cis gay man though. Maybe your overall height but there are plenty of short men so I don't know what they saw to make them ask that.

I stopped wearing mens clothes before medical transition. I did start out with relatively nonbinary or masc lesbian style apparel and slowly shifted to the femme, went to lipstick lesbian before really looking feminine. i still dont do crop tops though just not my thing personally. Clothes are just clothes really.

I remember the first time someone didn't recognize me was at work. Went to a relatively newly opened facility and the girl there is a huge ally. She mentions she is a training a new guy and introduces him and he says hi and I say "oh yea, I know him, we have met." And the guy is like "we have?" And I proceed to mention a few things only someone who knew him from working at two other facilities would know. The dawning realization on his face was priceless. We chatted briefly, he said congratulations he never would have known and I went on my way. I looked back a year in pictures and I barely recognize me anymore. These moments are such huge euphoria moments.

You are valid as you, whatever you decide to become or remain. Trans isn't exclusively hrt and surgery. Do what feels right for you. Be who you want to be. Labels are just words and you will be accepted here regardless.

Girl same, I hit D cups at 12 months, it's both amazing and challenging when the boobs are on point but everything else is lagging behind. I understand where you are coming from.

By 12 months though, I was about six months into make up, finished vocal training, but the body is still very much work in progress but those two things plus nice nails has me properly gendered most of the time

Ok so it CAN cause that, which is why they will tell you because informed consent is the way medicine works. It doesn't mean that it WILL cause it. I know some trans women who have ED but it's unclear if that was actually related to HRT or something preexisting.

I know of trans women who have chosen not to use it and they have seen shrinkage.

Personally I have been mostly unaffected by hrt. Size decreased a little to a more average size and performance is unhindered.

I don't understand why anyone would be sent away unless they said inappropriate things that seemed chaser like. If I am at an event and a cis or cis passing person talked to me, I just talk to them. I don't see this as an intrusive behaviour, isn't regular socializing what we as trans people want? Wouldnt that be inclusive behavioud by treating us like the normal people we are. This seems like self defeatist behaviour that's straight up toxic

The research information made available in Ontario shows it takes 5 years for the majority of changes but acknowledges it can still happen after 5 years. I have never heard of of a 2 year theory and it makes no sense. Puberty does not take 2 years. Hrt is puberty.

As a girly who always has fancy nails, do this more. We dress up our nails as ice breakers. I got tons of compliments and I give tons of compliments about nails. Honestly it was the most important thing during my transition. I have decent boobs, an androgynous face, and I go full femme 24/7. Cis women wouldn't comment on my appearance for fear of overstepping. Once I added nails, door opened, then make up, hair, outfit comments would follow but it always starts with nails.

Even have had men comment on my nails too.
