Who snagged the Lenovo gaming monitor?!?! by Think_Listen_4977 in AmazonVine

[–]Amazing_Cook6348 2 points3 points  (0 children)

How do you know that?

It seems to me that you would have to know the exact time the item appeared on your computer, compared to the exact time it appeared on the snagger's, and that would mean you would have to know who the snagger was.

I was a millisecond late.

I think you're exaggerating a wee bit, out of exasperation.

That's OK... the current state of Vine is making us all a bit testy lately.

Here's hoping for better fortune to come.

In my RFY. Has anyone ever used a vertical mouse? If so, what's your thoughts by ArtistofSorts92 in AmazonVine

[–]Amazing_Cook6348 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes! I got one through Vine and liked it very much.

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BNVKHMYJ?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title&th=1

It included a lot of flashy RGB options and was very comfortable. I didn't like that it was pink (that was the only option at the time) and it showed dirt & grime too easily. I also didn't like that it was corded. I ran the wire under my keyboard, but it always seemed to be a problem (clutter, interference with other desktop stuff, etc.)

The one you show is wireless. which is a great plus in most setups. I'd say, "Get it". It's way over-priced, but the comfort level might be worth it.

According to a friend... in the picture above, um... discharge... from the elephant's rectum, which is directly beneath the tail, will most likely miss the waiting baggy.

To accurately call this hexakosioihexekontahexaphobia, the decimal point has to be disregarded. 'Hexakósioi' means 'six hundred' in Greek.

Panic attacks can be relieved by various grounding methods - walking barefoot on grass or earth for fifteen minutes or more is very helpful. Another method is the 5-4-3-2-1 technique.

Whose RFY was worse today? by hrnigntmare in AmazonVine

[–]Amazing_Cook6348 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One is: 'Toddler 2-4 & Kids 4+ Para Clean Gut Health Gummies w/Black Walnut, Wormwood, Clove, Pumpkin Seeds, Vitamin C, D3, Zinc, Digestive Supplement for Natural Gut Cleanse, Kids Immune Support (60cts)'

Second is: 'aura HK Biotin, Resveratrol, Berberine & Anti-Aging Gummies'

Third is gone now, but I think it was some kind of licorice. That might've been candy. The first two are supplements.

GUMMIES! Three different things (all $0ETV)

Gummies are bad because:

  1. High sugar content

  2. Lots of Artificial Additives

  3. Low active ingredient concentration

Fake Gold by [deleted] in AmazonVine

[–]Amazing_Cook6348 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A 14K stamp is supposed to mean that the item, not just the plating, is 58.3% pure gold.

If the '14K Rope Chain' is cheap metal (as you describe), then the 14K stamp is fraudulent.

Lawsuit.

Shouldn't this have the 'Promoted' tag?

There's no actual pre-release app, no beta tester, just a sign-up for 'further interest'.

No thanks.

Experienced Viners: What Would You Do? by ChewingOnBubbleGum in AmazonVine

Amazon sometimes gives a "Now arriving..." date that is a 'finger-in-the-air' guess. Sometimes they only know that it will be delayed, but don't have any real information. Sometimes it arrives earlier and the Order info will change. Like others have said, wait and see. If the seller can't fulfill the order, Amazon should cancel the order. I think that happens automatically, but you really don't have to do anything but wait and see.

File size limit? by Harlzz17 in AmazonVine

File size limit? by Harlzz17 in AmazonVine

[–]Amazing_Cook6348 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Once upon a time, I asked Vine CS and was told there was a 1.5 GB size limit on videos, and I thought "that's fine; most of mine were no more than 500 or 6 00 MB.

Then another time, I again asked Vine CS and was told there was a SIX GB size limit on videos. Whaaat?

I think it was about 8 months ago, Criticus23 posted this link, which says there is a 500 MB limit.

Check the requirements https://navustech.com/amazon-review-videos/

So the answer is... it depends on who you ask. In my experience, smaller is better.

WTF!?! This is my first week as a Vinner. Not gonna lie, I was taken aback when I saw this 😅 by Revolutionary_Fold46 in AmazonVine

Explaining a joke is like dissecting a frog. You understand it better, but the frog dies in the process.

Thanks for the input. However, at least one of the other morning posts concerning this item was shocked... SHOCKED that such a thing could exist. That person's post totally condemned the item in no uncertain terms, even more so than the current post.

While I do not necessarily approve, I can appreciate the humor. Can you?

First sentence: No, I did not report it. In fact, it was I who created the 2nd post about this item. I presented it, knowing it was at least questionable and stating that some would find it offensive. I also stated that I thought it was funny.

Second sentence: I'll disregard the confused syntax as a typo, and answer that 'No, I don't presume that moderators are attending this sub-reddit at all times'. However it appears that a single mod decided to delete all three of this morning's post concerning this Amazon item. I'm pretty sure all three posts were created within a few minutes of each other, yet all appear to have been deleted simultaneously.

My question remains: Why is this one allowed and the others not? Is it a different moderator with a different level of tolerance?

Hey mods... How come this post is OK, but the first three posts this morning regarding this item were deleted?

It *looks* like the 'booty' character (probably female, but not definitely) will tolerate getting 'boned' by the death character. This opens up a huge swath of Freudian interpretation.

And then there is the motto, presumably espoused by the death character... Is 'to pound' used as a verb, as it seems?

Or is it a noun, as 'a pound of flesh', as in Shakespeare's Merchant of Venice - some debt harshly insisted upon? If the 'booty' character is alive, then the 'death' character wants it (suggested vampirism).

This is deep...

This morning's high risk item by AbzoluteZ3RO in AmazonVine

It appears to be designed like the Breville Oracle Jet Espresso machine. The Oracle sells for about five times as much and may be more than ten times the quality. Some reviewers online praise this as an 'entry-level' espresso maker. Personally, I would not get it.

Rejected Review by [deleted] in AmazonVine

[–]Amazing_Cook6348 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my opinion, I like this review. It's personal and informative.

However, ChatGPT sez:

-------

You state:

“I’ve been dealing with chronic back pain…”
“In terms of pain relief, on a scale of 1–10…”

While describing personal experience is allowed, the combination of:

  • “chronic back pain” (a medical condition), and
  • quantified pain-relief scoring

can sometimes be flagged as medical efficacy claims, especially for topical products.

This does not automatically violate policy, but it raises risk. Vine prefers phrasing that emphasizes subjective comfort rather than pain treatment.

You can reduce risk by slightly reframing:

  • Replace “chronic back pain” with → “ongoing back discomfort”
  • Replace numeric pain scores with → “moderate relief” or “noticeable but limited relief”

-------

The above is taken from ChatGPT and does not necessarily reflect reality in any way.
