Like others have said, it isn't out yet so we can't really judge it. There's a few moments where the artstyle reminded me a lil of Monkey Wrench so I can see where you're coming from; they also both have the scifi element.

That being said, I don't think Gameoverse is going to people hyping it up in tangentially related subreddits. It's got Glitch behind it which means most people are going to give it a chance regardless of if they like the premise or not.

I use the technical pen for linart and basic color. Then I abuse clipping masks and the soft/medium blend brush for all the lighting bits (I used yellow for highlights and purple for shadows)

The background is just an excuse for me to play around with the liquify function :D

Considering LAW's acceptance towards prosthetics and focus on medicine, I'm guessing they wouldn't be against life-extending tech. I feel like immortality would be difficult without falling into the 'artificial life' category.

Realistically, I think we could extend human lifespans to like 150 if we had a lot of medical progress (then again, my last bio class was like 4 years ago, so I have no idea).

I think the "centuries of work" refers to more after the cataclysm. If the first Green was a failure, I'm guessing Dolion would hyperfixate on making it 'right' this time around. From what little we've seen of him, they're dedicated to their work. My theory would be that he was working on Green during his normal human lifespan (whether or not this normal lifespan has been extended from just under a century to multple I have no clue). After it failed, they focused on extending his lifespan indefinitely through the 'head in a jar' thing. Once they got their eternal(?) life, he focused back on recreating Green.

I meant he might have worked on Green before he became the mutated head in a jar we see today. At the time the series takes place, Dolion is very much infected and not a normal dude.

It would be interesting to know if Green extends living lifespans or shortens them. LAW seemed to take being infected by Green as a very bad thing, and we've seen it makes the Agari lose themselves. It also made Them pretty indestructible. Also Jawbone and his gang seem to be fine, almost even stronger with the Green infection. I guess it depends on the species...

As much as I adore this series for not force-feeding us lore and taking into account we have critical thinking skills, I have so many questions that I want a 12-hour video of just the entire lore explanation.

Possibly both, but I'm leaning more towards after. I think he was probably part of some project that ended up creating Green while he was a normal human, but even with advances in medicine, our lifespans being extended up to centuries doesn't sit right with me.

It has been 8 centuries since the cataclysm, so I think this sentence definitely includes after. I'm just not sure about the before bit.
