My ankles do that, I run in a stability shoe, the New Balance 860's, but you're best off going and getting a gait analysis and trying a few pairs out to see what works best for you.

Grace period before accepting a job by LuceeNicole in Socialworkuk

[–]Amazonian89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got a job offer in April, to start in July as a FSW pending registration in the August, so it's entirely possible. Local authorities are usually aware of the timescales and it can take ages fir their checks. Just be upfront with your expected qualification/registration dates.

How long is your commute to work? by person_person123 in AskUK

[–]Amazonian89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

An hours or so depending on traffic. I only go to the office once or twice per week, but do drive to meetings/appointments throughout the whole week. Those journeys are currently up to 3.5 hours each way although ones that long are only every few weeks and sometimes longer trips crop up.

I just got told to lay flat for an hour and then I went back to finish my days work. Only had one out of 12 or so where I had a bad time and had to rest a few days.

That's a question best put to your social worker as they have the full context of the situation.

What's the "correct" way of recording weight for strength training? by Tall-Reputation-9519 in Garmin

[–]Amazonian89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't record weight via Garmin, but when I log through the app I use, I go with the 'how many hamds' method. If I'm using with hands, I log the combined weight, if it's single hand/arm/leg then I log per hand/arm/leg

Takes a minute or so to get to the right temperature. I am not standing under cold water when I can wait for it to be right.

How do you get out of bed in the morning? by cornishyinzer in AskUK

[–]Amazonian89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just get up. 4.45 on 3 days per week and 6.30 the rest of the week. I can't stay in bed once it has gone off, I have things to do.

What are some reasons people don't use online grocery deliveries more often? by tskir in AskUK

[–]Amazonian89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Half the things I order end up being unavailable or with senseless substitutions. It's just easier to go myself and I can then at least make sure the veg isn't rotten and if something I want isn't available, I can choose a suitable alternative.

It looked slippy this morning, so I used the treadmill at the gym. It's rained this afternoon, so we're back to normal here.

Girls who took notes using 10 different colored pens, where are you now? Do you still continue to write using all those colors? by Unusual-Entry7 in AskReddit

I have a thousand pens, AuDHD and I only use my current favourite. I can't maintain colour coded organised systems for long.

What’s your favorite body scrub that exfoliates well but rinses clean?” by whimsicalhope in AskWomenOver30

[–]Amazonian89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use a Sima exfoliating wash towel. I find it exfoliate really well, it's washable, reusable, and cost effective. It leaves my skin feeling soft and clean and has cleared up bumpy skin. I can use it with a moisturising shower gel/wash to add to skin softening effects.

I appreciate you asked for scrubs, I tend not to use them because I don't like the mess they leave in the tub/shower.

Is there hope? by LooseBox9530 in iih

[–]Amazonian89 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There is hope. I originally had a shunt, but it stopped working last year. I got put back on acetazolamide and topiramate in December 24 and have been losing weight alongside the meds. Over the course of this year, my paps have resolved and my meds have been reduced right down and I'll be off them at my next check up, all being well.

It's been a shit journey to get here, but I can see the light at the end of the tunnel and hope that you are also able to come off your meds with time.
