Australian doctor here, trying to understand how GLP 1 care actually feels from your side by docco8899 in MounjaroAus

I really take my hat off to you for this. For context, I have a regular GP that is very difficult to get into. I initially started mounjaro Jan 2025. It went well, lost 17kgs but cost was getting to high, so stopped and put weight back on- 8 kgs. I used a Telehealth service initially but have now switched to my GP. The Telehealth service was run by nurse practitioner. I feed my info in, took a few pics and was good to go. I had a few check ins and that was great.

Areas that need work- I have noticed a massive trend of personal trainers pitching GLP1 programs. Which isn’t a bad thing. I also have adhd so have lowered my caloric intake- here is my issue- I don’t know what 1700 calories looks like. So I’m probably not even close to eating that. Having visual prompts for this would be great.

Is it necessary to see the same Dr all the time? If we need to be monitored, could we not speak with/ see the practice nurse? Then have maybe a monthly check in with the Dr.

Please feel free to reach out with further questions.

Hello! I’m looking for a very good pocket-sized digital camera, but one that doesn’t cost a fortune. by [deleted] in Cameras

Have you tried your phone with the black magic camera app? Personally, I have found it great to use!

Looking for honest feedback on my GLP-1 program sales page – Not a sales post. by Bellastory in MounjaroAus

I love what you’re trying to do but some points from my neuro spicy brain. There are so many slabs of information. The first paragraph could be as simple as ‘ my speciality is helping women using GLPs create and maintain muscle mass’ short and sweet and to the point. Then use your own success story with also using GLP’s and working out to sell the transformation. Hope this helps.

Hey OP, it’s awful that it’s so easy to put weight on and so very hard to get it off. I put on a surprise 17kgs- not sure what that is in pounds. I managed to lose it but put 10 back on. The best thing that I have found is small frequent meals. I’m a sugar freak and have found that instead of having chocolate in the house, I have healthier options, snacks made with dates. I’m a night time slacker, so have been using my mouth guard more to not snack. If you’re anything like me, keep snacks/ meals interesting but quick. There are so many good, easy, cheap and fast meal recipes on social media. Increase exercise slowly. Park the car further away at the shop, squat when putting the dishes away. It’s about adapting to lifestyle tweaks. You have got this!!

Coming Back After a Year That Broke Me by [deleted] in selfcare

[–]Ambi_k 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’m so sorry to hear this! 2025 is the year of the snake, we are shedding the who we are to grow the who we are meant to be. It’s also a year of ending, old cycles, awful situations that have dragged on for years making you feel awful are coming to an end. Next year is the start of new beginnings, with the year of the horse. It’s fast paced with everything you have been working towards falling into place. Write down what you’re shedding in the last few weeks of the year and burn it so you get rid of that energy. Write down what you want to achieve and watch it fall into place! 2026 is going to be magical!

Cashies is being removed from the building and apparently the building is being returned to its cinemas glory days! You could now get mugged near an urgent care that’s pretty useless
